The Bible assigns male names to angels but that doesn't really matter if you look at how angels are typically depicted in art. If you are gonna make stuff up to believe in, you may as well make as you like it. I recall a survey where a vast majority actually believe they have a guardian.

Funny. There's no way the traditionally patriarchal societies that birthed the Hebrew and Christian religions would have described angels as feminine. They wouldn't assign what is essentially demi-god status to females. Nowadays, angels are more often assumed to be female, if not otherwise stated. How times have changed.
