From the look of it it sounds pretty bad. I'd like to see more complete statistics of water consumption and an estimation of the impact of pot cultivations compared to the total.

Solitary

My question is: How many golf courses do they have?

Golf courses are businesses exactly like pot growing or any other for-profit activity. My question is: which business offers the worst compromise in terms of benefit/cost (where the depletion of water resources are a big part of the costs)?

Jason Harvestdancer

After decades of government mismanagement of water, it is the fault of the pot growers.  Makes perfect sense.

I'm pretty sure California had plenty of water shortages in the past...

It becomes an issue only after you've used up all your aquifers and global warming causes severe drought.  It is also a fact that golf courses are built by greedy white businessmen on Native American burial grounds. Heyokah the Trickster will exact his revenge.

Damned, and here I thought it was the Coyote.  :winkle:  Tatanka will take care of the problem.

Heyokah is Lakota. Coyote is Navajo. Same god, different tribe. Btw, I actually had a Navajo Vietnam vet friend of mine tell me that several (he named them) golf courses were actually built on places sacred to Native Americans.

No no..everyone knows it's teh gays.. They're either causing hurricanes and tornadoes with to much rain or not enough rain and droughts. There's just no end to the suffering god will cause millions because of one little old wicked gay dude..
