Does good exist?

Again any statement backed by evidence will be appreciated

This thread is almost indistinguishable from a troll thread.
You start off extremely bad right off the bat.
What do you mean by "god"? Define your term
Why do I have to present evidence if it is you that is putting forth the possible existence of such a thing?
Gonna turn it right around and ask "why should I consider such an existence? Give me good reasons"

Wow ... Total fail.

That being said though, I think the question still applies. Good in what sense? Universal good? Something transcendental?

Not fucking likely.
A humans desire to live is exceeded only by their willingness to die for another. Even god cannot equal this magnificent sacrifice. No god has the right to judge them.-first tenant of the Panotheust

I want to know your definition of good, sorry, I should have specified

PickelledEggs

Good is the opposite of bad. Pretty simple.

This is a really trivial set of threads, just an FYI...

Let me ask you a question of equal relevance. If a bear shits in the woods, and no one is around to step in it, does it make a smell?

Any questions?

Admit it. You're secretly green with envy.

I'll give you my definition of good, but it's going to be REAALLY long. If you wants it, you gets it.

You really need to define on what you mean by "does good exist" if you are going to get a real answer. The question is to general and ambiguous. Either way, I might as well humor you with how I view "good"

Good is realtive to bad. Obviously you can't have good without bad contrasting it.

"good" is only a judgement based on the person making the call of what is good or bad.

So what are you exactly asking?

Is good a physical thing and does that exsist?
Is good an energy particle and does that exsist?
I don't do general, ambiguous questions.

I have liked you on here for a long time, CP, but these threads are pretty annoying.

Sorry, I enjoy this kind of talk, and the reason I want to know the views on whether good or evil exist because I want to know (according to y'all) which is greater, and are both infinite?

Tbh, this is the stuff I would like to talk with y'all because I have unlimited access to a theist stance on these issues but no an atheist's views on such

Simply, are the beliefs of good and evil linked to religion? If not, do such things exist

Which is why I don't take much of it seriously hence good little bird/bad little bird.

That is a better question.

My answer to it would be: I don't know.

I do know that automatically saying "If it's not good, it's evil. or If it's not evil, it's good" isn't the best idea. It tends to make people jump to a simple conclusion when a lot of times there isn't one.

There is cause and effect. sometimes the cause makes an effect that benifits more things than it disadvantages things. When that happens, we call it "good" when the opposite happens, we call it "bad". Like I said, good and bad / righteous and evil are judgments based on a person's perspective.

Judgement pre-existed religion because someone had to come up with the judgment to say what is good or bad before they incorporated it in to their religion.

Good and bad are base on other's opinion.
