If you commit just ONE sin of any kind in your whole life, you're not good enough to get into heaven. However, if you accept Sweet Jesus into your heart, you can sin as many times a day as you want to, ask him to forgive you afterwards, and you're good to go! Don't they see how these teachings encourage the very sinning that they're trying to stop?

When you have faith connecting the dots is the least of your worries.

And really...   Who knows all ten commandments?

Exodus 34
Thou shalt not make covenants with neighboring tribes (v.12).
Thou shalt destroy the altars of other religions. (v.13)
Thou shalt not worship other gods. (v.14)
Thou shalt not make any molten images. (v.17)
Thou shalt keep the feast of unleaven bread. (v.18)
Thou shalt rest on the seventh day. (v.21)
Thou shalt observe the feast of weeks. (v.22)
Thou shalt not offer blood sacrifices with leaven. (v.25)
Thou shalt bring your first fruits to the house of the Lord. (v.26a)
Thou shalt not boil a kid in its mother's milk. (v.26b)

There is a house I pass by frequently that has the ten commandment posted on a sign in his front lawn.

Yeah, I'm all over that molten image thing. Still have the burns to prove it.

WTF?
Is that even better than deep fried?

that depends. bone in or boneless? Bone in, go with mother's milk.

ApostateLois

Yeah, I can see how those are REALLY important in today's world. If people were allowed to boil baby goats in their mother's milk, who knows where it might end??

Ah yes. Never forget the 4 Christian food groups- fear, guilt, condemnation  and judgment. On display for your perusal.

Solitary

The Catholic Church is an expert at those too.  :butt: Solitary

This isn't what's taught.  If you genuinely accept Christ into your life, then you won't want to sin.  If you continue living sinfully and don't really care about what god wants, then it would be obvious to an all knowing god that your conversion wasn't genuine, and you wouldn't be saved from hell.

That's a very summed up version of it.  I left some holes in my explanation that you could raise objections to, but I don't feel like typing out a small essay on theology.

I assume you are not an ex-Christian, you've been an atheist your whole life?

Contemporary Protestant

Hell is actually being defined as a state of separation from Yhwh, in some schools of thought, its still a minority but its interesting

This guy wrote about it in more detail, if you care to know

Please feel especially welcome not to.
We were already subjected to that fake sainthood ceremony.
That's enough for this week, thank you.
