Sheldon Gives Up On String Theory

No, I didn't post this in the physics section for a reason, 

In the Caltech cafeteria, the guys are discussing the recent discoveries on the big bang theory which would elevate those astrophysicists to the level of rock stars. Sheldon is depressed that he has been working on string theory for the last twenty years with no similar discoveries proving it.

I'm not a physicist, but I gave up on string theory.  I tried to follow it, but got lost at the same point where an enthusiastic supporter was describing it, and said, "This is where even we physicists get lost."  I thought, "OK, I'm not going to struggle with this until the big boys can sort it out.  I'll take another look at that point."
