The link below will take you to a website that allows you to view our entire galaxy. All the images were collected by NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope. My physics professor was a major part of this project and it's basically a culmination of all his work and research over the past 10 years. He showed it to us today in class. You can move your cursor around to pan across the entire galaxy and zoom in and out and the resolution is really good. The best part is the band of images across the center of the screen that allows you to see the galaxy in infrared. You can use a slider at the bottom of the screen to switch between infrared and visible light. It is one of the coolest things I've seen and I had a blast looking all around the galaxy. I hope you all enjoy!
