In Denmark it is illegal to critisize religion.

Article 140 in the Danish Penal Code says:

"Those who critisize or make fun of any legally established religion in this country, will be punished by 4 months in prison".

Danish People's Party (a bunch of conservative social-democrats, 20 % of voters), Red-Green Alliance Party (a leftist party, 10 percent of voters) and Liberal Alliance Party (extreme rightist-libertarian party, 5 % of voters) have long wished to abolish the Blasphemy law.

But because they couldn't agree on the reasons (having different motives for abolish it) they have never been able to make a stance towards the big parties, like the Social Democrats, Liberal Party and the Conservatives and Socialist People's Party + Moderate Party.

The new thing is that our minister of Church Affairs have now said that he wants to abolish the law. He is a Moderate Party member.

The Danish People's Party is very religious. It is Christian, but it want to abolish the law so they can say what they want about Islam.
The other parties wants to abolish the law, because they believe free speech is most important.

However, The larger parties, like Social-Democrats, Liberal Party (not very liberal though) and Conservative Party wants the law to stay like this, because they believe religion is important to preserve.

Denmark is a Protestant-Lutheran country, and the Queen is the head of Church.
Danes pay a monthly Church tax at 1 %.

I've always thought that blasphemy laws were themselves blasphemy, as they seem to suggest that gods aren't powerful enough to take matters into their own hands so they need a law to help things along.

There is nothing more frightful than ignorance in action.

True.

Now I can read in the media that our Minister of Church Affairs is "scared of religion" and people are gathering to protest against abolishing this law.

My stance is clear: I want to abolish the Anti-Blasphemy law. It is ridiculous.

Capitalism is more of a social-economic system.

Capitalism is a market system, it has nothing to do with politics as such.

But politics can be mixed with Capitalism (we call it tax fraud or corruption) just like politics can be mixed with religion.
You can also combine capitalism with politics by embracing capitalist ideas, though it will disrupt the system somewhat:

You give big corporations government fundings, in order to smash the smaller companies and to support the government by making tools for the government (warfare etc.)

Then it is called Fascism.
