1) There's no (actual) evidence that the subject of the suit, Jesus, actually existed, so Mr. Indidis has no standing to sue on his behalf.  (You can't bring suit on behalf of a fictional character.)

2) The State of Israel didn't exist at the time, so it can't be a party to the suit.

2a) Whether the laws of the State of Israel are the same as the laws of the Roman Empire or not (they're definitely not), Israel did not "incorporate the laws of the Roman Empire into [its] new governmental system".

3) The Republic of Italy didn't exist at the time, so it can't be a party to the suit.  (3a is the same as 2a.)

4) Pontius Pilate, Tiberius and the Jewish Elders are all dead, so the suit against them is moot.

5) There was no guarantee of civil rights in the Roman Empire, so they couldn't have been violated.

6) As evidence of historical fact, the Bible is inadmissible, since the record of Jesus' trial, conviction and crucifixion was written by anonymous people, so they can't be cross-examined.  Oh, and who says that you can't discredit the Bible?  You sure can in a court of law that doesn't accept it, a priori, as 100% factual.

As a matter of fact, and as a matter of law, he doesn't "have a good case with a high probability of success", he has no case at all.  In a country with a real bar exam he probably wouldn't even be a lawyer.

And did the idiot forget that if Jesus hadn't been crucified, Indidis wouldn't be a Christian - because there would be no Christianity?  (Jesus lived for your sins?)
