Americans are just so tired of winning right now.
"Oh, wearisome condition of humanity,
Born under one law, to another bound;
Vainly begot, and yet forbidden vanity,
Created sick, commanded to be sound."

We are up to our chins in morons. I have often heard that "smart" people "know" that the economy fares better under Republicans. Well, they have been taken for fools.

-Historical Economic Performance
Analysis of U.S. economic performance since 1945 reveals a consistent pattern of stronger performance under Democratic administrations across various indicators:
-Gross Domestic Product (GDP) Growth: Real GDP has grown faster on average under Democratic presidents than under Republican ones.
-Job Creation: More net jobs have been created under Democratic presidents, with job growth rates significantly higher than those during Republican administrations.
-Unemployment: The unemployment rate has tended to fall under Democratic presidents and rise under Republican presidents.
-Recessions: The vast majority of modern U.S. recessions (10 out of 11 since 1953) began under Republican presidents.
Stock Market Returns: The stock market, as measured by indices like the S&P 500, has historically seen higher average annual returns under Democratic presidents.
-Income Growth: Studies have found that income growth is faster and more equally distributed under Democratic administrations.
-National Debt: The national debt has increased significantly under recent Republican presidents, often due to tax cuts that disproportionately benefited corporations and the wealthy without corresponding spending cuts.

It seems that when people have basic needs met, the economy flourishes more that when billionaires are enriched at their expense. Go figure.

It's definitely because of the shutdown and no other reason.  Everything's fine.  We're all fine here, everything's perfectly all right now.  We're fine, we're all fine here now, thank you. How are you?
"It's really beautiful. Just beautiful."

It'll be interesting to see how she spins this.

While talking-up all their big anti-immigration efforts, I am sure the MAGAts probably love all of Trump's international ass kissers.

Elaine Chao: Born in Taipei, Taiwan, Chao served as the Secretary of Transportation during the first Trump administration.

Manisha Singh: Born in Uttar Pradesh, India, she was appointed as the Assistant Secretary of State for Economic Affairs.

Harmeet Dhillon: The nominee for Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights was born in Chandigarh, India, and moved to the U.S. as a child.

Jay Bhattacharya: The nominee for Director of the National Institutes of Health was born in Kolkata, India.

Elon Musk: The South African-born CEO of Tesla and SpaceX will co-lead the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in the upcoming administration.

Christopher Landau: Nominated for Deputy Secretary of State, he was born in Spain while his father was stationed there with the U.S. Foreign Service.

Melania Trump: The former and likely future First Lady was born in Novo Mesto, Slovenia (then Yugoslavia), and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2006. She is the second First Lady to be foreign-born.

Ivana Trump: Donald Trump's first wife, who served as a senior executive in the Trump Organization, was born in Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic).

Mary Anne MacLeod Trump: Donald Trump's mother was an immigrant, born in Stornoway, Scotland, who came to the U.S. in 1930.

Usha Vance: The wife of Vice President-elect J.D. Vance, Usha Vance will be the first Indian-origin Second Lady. She was born in the U.S. to Indian immigrant parents.

Now they're saying, "DOGE? What DOGE? There's never been any DOGE!"

Before adopting the "America First" slogan (that has a history of use by groups with strong pro-Nazi/fascist sympathies), they should have looked it up. Oh, they did. OK.

The Committee to Defend America First officially closed business on Monday, Dec. 8th, 1941. Not sure why.
We 'new atheists' have a reputation for being militant, but make no mistake  we didn't start this war. If you want to place blame put it on the the religious zealots who have been poisoning the minds of the  young for a long long time."
