I can't go on twitter to verify (and really, no one should go on Twitter, it's not a nice place) but yes, it's real. Lots of bizarre things happen every day. And actually, since MTG is in a "safe" district, she's free to be as kooky bananas or keeping it real as she wishes, so it makes sense that she'd go turbo MAGA when that's a winning strategy and centrist when that's a winning strategy. Politicians, man. Also, she really wants to be President some day and addressing the actual problems is one way to do that (Trump did that too at first, before he went full fascist)
