OK conservatives. We can only keep 90% of our planes in the air, but we can come to the rescue of certain Nigerians because they are "Christians".  Our one big electric car company is run by a drug addict/weirdo/moron with his piece of shit, $100K "cybertruck", while China is about to take over the entire world market. The stock market is running in a bubble of historically high price to earnings ratios while half of us don't have $500 bucks in the bank. We are assaulting US universities just as the low birth rate (2008 kids) are reaching college age. That's OK though because white-collar workers will be replaced by AI. We have a Whitehouse gold-plated ballroom, and the president has big issues with low-water usage toilets and wind generators that he doesn't want to see from the 4th tee. And now millions will be losing affordable health insurance.

I wondered whether the economy would have an effect on the election, I thought it would, even though Republicans are loyal to trump, I wondered if they might actually think things were getting better. Anyone who regularly buys groceries or wants to buy a house can tell you that the Trump's, well OK, the Trump's government inflation numbers and economic data don't reflect what is really happening.

I also wondered if Democrats might win because Trump was governing like a five year old on a rampage, but there was no mention of that in the article I read.

Of course the elections were probably rigged as they always are when blue wins. Republicans can always point to that meme. It's still alive and useful as an explanation, but only when they lose.

This is just as much of an attack on the voting rights of the people as January 6th was - since in both cases, the actual votes of the people are subverted to reach a pre-decided result.  One just has a lot less shouting.
