Essentially, the "skeptic" position is just a series of misconceptions fueled by obsolete data, major polluters' talking points, and gotchas that believe it or not, smart people took into consideration long ago and have worked very hard to address - energy storage and the existence of nighttime isn't something that they just forgot about.

Also, coal is a LOT less clean and safe than most people think, even most people's bad impressions are usually overly generous, not realizing how harmful this stuff is or the lack of adequate regulations surrounding it.  Coal ash, for starters.  They just sort of assume this stuff is handled in an intelligent and responsible way and that is not the case.

Not only is Trump threatening Venezuela with the US military, he's now threatening Nigeria with military action, because, he says, the government of Nigeria is failing to rein in the persecution of Christians in the West African country.

So, let's give the warmonger a Nobel Peace prize!

I think it might have something to do with Zelenskyy, strange as this sounds.  He blew up on Zelenskyy and wanted him replaced, but the Ukrainian constitution doesn't allow elections during a state of war.  That may have given him ideas, not that they need much prompting.

Fantastic news for Mamdani, since historically, Trump picks haven't done well.  Also, it pretty much guarantees that he's a corrupt sex pest.

A while back, Cuomo came out with a really shitty AI-generated video where fake criminals were enthusiasticaly supporting Mamdani with the heavy implication that Mamdani somehow supports crime because he said crime was a social construct once.  Talk about grasping for straws.  No honest or decent person would need to resort to such vile tactics - hence Trump's preference.
