You don't have to fool all of the people all of the time, you only have to fool enough of the people enough of the time.

Can you imagine how much the Conservatives would be freaking out if a Democrat didn't put his hand on the Bible during his swearing in?

Hey. Hey, Christian nationalist morons. He's not one of you. He played you like a fiddle. He doesn't exemplify a single Christian value, couldn't name a single one of the beatitudes, and you thought he was God's chosen leader for our country.

I'd say I hope Jesus comes down and raptures all the Christians to save us from their stupidity, but we'd still be stuck with him. In fact, lots of Christians would probably be surprised by how many would get left behind.

In other news, Trump demands public apology from "nasty" bishop who asked him to show compassion on others. No, I'm not joking. This is the world we live in. The GOP is trying to put the Onion out of their jobs. They cannot fabricate a more ridiculous reality.

He did eliminate the Federal right to abortion, and in the minds of the holier than thou, I think this makes him a saint. The assumption is that he will do the same for mandating creation science in public schools, and who knows what else? Stoning of women who are unfaithful? Well, that may be pushing it.

But,then again, it may not be pushing it.

I'm not kidding when I say this guy is petty:

Apparently, her church was the same one Trump had people teargassed in front of, so he could take pictures of himself holding a Bible upside-down.

I really wish Christians would read own fucking Bibles. You know that part about not casting the first stone unless you are sinless yourself or turning the other cheek? No, just be super petty instead. You know that part about it being impossible for the rich to make to Heaven? Oh, no. What Jesus ACTUALLY meant was...

Just fucking admit you guys don't give a fuck about Jesus actually said. I have some problems with things Jesus supposedly said or did, but if more Christians were actually Christ-like, they'd be a lot more tolerable to be around. Trouble is, you can't build an empire on meekness and forgiveness. So ignore Jesus and act like Old Testament Yahweh instead.

Don't believe what the Bible says  believe what Christian apologists say it says.

We 'new atheists' have a reputation for being militant, but make no mistake  we didn't start this war. If you want to place blame put it on the the religious zealots who have been poisoning the minds of the  young for a long long time."

No sympathy. You were fucking warned.

So, you voted for Republicans, thinking they wouldn't support the genocide in Hamas. Where do I even begin?

Edit: I know it doesn't say that they voted Republican. Just that they didn't vote Democrat. But I just find it funny that they didn't think that Democrats would be the obvious better option of the two. I understand that the Democratic party wasn't being a good ally (probably out of fear of backlash), but when the alternative is the party that will actively tell them to get fucked? With Democrats, they at least have a chance, but Republicans do not care about them at all. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Trump heard someone suggesting turning the whole Middle East into glass, and he decides to actually do that.

I don't know how this is possible, but I'm pretty sure these people are less religious than I am.  They just drape themselves in it to appear virtuous.

If you take the established leader of a troop of chimps and paint it yellow the troop will attack it and tear it to shreds.

Religious people aren't that gentle.

Religion is a substitute for decency. They say things like, "he's Christian," as if that equates to being good. There are businesses that use "Christian" in their names, because they know that people will assume that that means they are trustworthy. I'd rather trust someone after they earn it, through their actions, and I'm very suspicious of anyone who would try to use religion to skip that process.

Should it come as a surprise that the world's shittiest people are almost always Christian? When you believe that humans are broken and sinful by default, and that you can only get to Heaven via a scapegoat, why bother trying? You've got a free pass to Heaven, and you can never be a good person in God's eyes, no matter how hard you try.

Empathy? The heart is evil and can't be trusted. So you can't make moral decisions based on logic or how it affects people. Instead, trust an ancient collection of books that say that the sky is held up by pillars and that you can breed striped sheep by making them stare at sticks while they get it on. That's the only way to get an objective moral standard.
