Remember, guys. The Left are the ones who exhibit cult-like behavior.

The Left are the hateful ones.

The Left are sore losers.

The Left are ideological and don't care about the facts.

And white, Christian men are the most oppressed minority in the world.

I don't need a picture reference for that. Anyone with a fully functional brain knows how ridiculous that is. lol

Takes like this are what cost the left the election, to go back to my original post as to behavioral changes the left could take to invite more members in as well as stop the bleed of voters they have suffered - as well as that other girl from Texas who continued to use racial attacks on me.

Kamala Harris courted atheists with her left hand while shoving down Christians and Jews with the other - as with any politician, this was calculated.

Where do those calculations come from, and what are the opinions that influence them?

Whom must a politician court and agree with to take power?

Edit - also, holy shit I think I see where the "majority/minority" problem is, if anyone wants to inform him - yes, "majority" is absolutely correct in the second way you were using it - that they make up the greater share of religious members in the world and I have no - nor never have had - any disagreement with that statement.

The first context you presented was scientists who would believe in the Judeo-Christian God and those who wouldn't; in that regard Christians/Jews are a  minority.

I'm sorry I didn't realise we were having a categorical issue that lead to us talking past one another.

I apologize, @Shiranu. I've been unnecessarily aggressive lately. I don't want to run you off when you just got back. I've deleted some of my nastier comments, and I'm just not going to engage in political debates. I think I would rather tear out my brain stem, carry it into the nearest four-way intersection, and skip rope with it than argue about the broken American political system.

Surprise surprise

QuoteIn a plea deal, Alexander Smirnov admitted to completely fabricating the conspiracy that became central to a Republican effort to impeach the sitting president. Smirnov agreed to plead guilty to four felony charges, which include one count of obstruction of justice and three tax evasion charges, in exchange for the end of two pending criminal cases against him, according to court documents.
But how many people saw the accusation and how many people will see the accusation retracted?

Quote from: Shiranu on December 08, 2024, 10:26:20 PMYeah, I've heard that line for 30 years; my parents were hearing it 30 years before that.

Funny enough, she is still hungry and the billion dollar homeless shelter in downtown Austin that houses 10 people hasn't solved the problem.
I will be the first to tell you that the Democrats are not a left wing party. They are right wing neo-liberals who occasionally throw the left a bone to get votes. The last one who was remotely close to center was Obama, and I think Bernie is the only one who has ever really been in it for the people instead of his pocket book.

I'm often reminded of something I read about the revolution of 1848: national workshops. They were supposed to be a solution to unemployment, but the guy they put in charge of it was against the idea and basically sabotaged the whole project by only assigning make-work jobs, like digging holes and filling them back in.

QuoteI mean when Jews are physically assaulted, synagogues are vandalized, "Missing Persons" posters are torn down, and Muslims are chanting "Gas the Jews!" on the steps of the Sydney Opera House and attacking men with yamukas at Yale.

Or am I mistaking innocent anti-Israeli bigotry for bad anti-Semitism since all Jews are guilty by association for anything Israel does?
Don't be vague next time, and I won't assume your meaning. You wouldn't be the first right-winger I've ever argued with who genuinely believes anti-Israel and anti-Jewish are synonyms.

Yes, there are leftists who go after Jews, and a lot of it is guilt by association with Israel. It stems from the far left's longstanding obsession with defending Islam that I still, to this day, have never understood.

You're good man, I spent more time trying to be a smart ass than figure out where the disconnect was as well, more than happy to move on and and never talk politics again.

QuoteI will be the first to tell you that the Democrats are not a left wing party.

I don't disagree for the most part with this, nor with the majority of what you said - (partial quoting for the sake of saving space); that said there does exist within the DNC an extremely radicalized leftist party (celebration of murder, celebration of racism and sexism, hatred of America and her values, some terrible moral positions, it's position on Islam you noted, etc.) that has increasingly been courted by the more corrupt individuals within the party.

Or shorter - many of us agree, it's why we left the party; we were told we weren't as welcome as others, tried to stay, and eventually just accepted we were no longer welcome.

Funny enough, I joined the Democrats a Bookchin/Calhoun Syndicalist/Socialist/Libertarian-hybrid and left it an anti-Democratic republicanism monarchist lol.

Fair enough.

Who will be Trump's pick for presidential science advisor?
Maybe Franklin Graham?
Maybe William Lane Craig?
Maybe Tucker Carlson?

There are many ideas being thrown around for why the Democrats lost. IMO, it's not just one reason, but several. But this also seems to be one of the major reasons. It used to be that Democratic organizations would meet up for food, beer, and community. Candidates would physically appear, listening to their community's concerns. Now? The only engagement the Democratic Party asks for is money. It's no wonder Liberals often sit at home instead of vote. The Democratic Party has basically told them, "We don't care about you. We just want your money."

And after this last election, I'll be one of those choosing to sit at home. Assuming elections won't be fixed from the start anyway, like in Russia, I don't see any point in it. I have no faith in humanity, much less the Democratic Party.

Follow-the-leader / herd mentality on full display, which is not good and very predictable.  Though the genuine desire to think and reflect, especially how it pertains to the little guy is a very good thing, but sadly much too late.  For a political faction that boasts of its "strong convictions", these convictions are remarkably malleable.

It would be good if the Chump got his "formal victory" on January 6th certified the same way Biden got his in 2021. With violence and disruption. Maybe a little more severe, though. To the point that say, for example, his VP or some other high-ranking officials dying during the event. The Chump would have to be kept alive so he could have the chance and proper time to experience some of his own medicine. He himself should be left for a later opportunity.

I know this all may sound horrific and all, but Trump is just a sociopath, a cancer that should have be gotten rid of for good this time around. There is no excuse for this treason of these American citizens/voters against their own country and against the world at large. There is no excuse for voting in the "OMB".

Sorry, I just hate Trump and his fucking party. Had to get this off my chest.
