I watched a movie on YouTube called Prince of Space, an MST3K movie, that wouldn't have been worth watching had it not been for the snide comments of Mike and his robot buddies. It was about aliens from a planet called Crack Whore, or at least that's what it sounded like. They wanted to take over the Earth, but were thwarted by a bootblack who was secretly a superhero that no one had ever heard of before.

Tropic Thunder was a lot of fun. Had an all-star cast:

Tom Cruise

Matthew McConaughey
John Voight
Martin Lawrence
Hollywood making fun of itself!
If I hadn't read the cast list I would never have recognized Tom Cruise! 🤩

The subplot was a globetrotting, superfluous anti-Corp distraction. You would think dinos running around town would be enough. I ended up surfing the net while it was on. Another computer graphics wonder.

I watched a movie called Alien Conquest yesterday, and I'm so glad that aliens no longer have to be portrayed by humans in silly makeup or suits. So computer graphics does have a role.

I just got to see Shanghai Noon, with Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson! I knew it was gonna be a lot of fun, and I wasn't wrong! Action all the way, like any other Jackie Chan movie. Loved every moment of it. 🤪

Something called Defendor popped up on my YouTube feed, so I clicked on it, expecting something similar to KickAss. Boy, was I wrong!
I didn't even know its star was Woody Harrelson. I think this was the best movie I've seen him in, although I haven't yet seen the one about Larry Flynt, which I think was probably very good.
Woody plays a guy who isn't very bright, but dresses up in a sort of costume and fights crime.
I can highly recommend this one!

I googled Woody Harrelson and checked out his list of roles on IMDB. In doing so, I found that he's in something called The Freak Brothers, which I remember from decades ago. Woody plays Franklin Freek, with John Goodman playing Fat Freddy. I've only seen a little bit of it so far, but it's pretty damned funny! 🤣

I remember The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers being a comic book when I was much younger. I'm glad to find an animated version of it, especially with Woody!

Just watched a movie on YouTube called A Stand Up Guy, about a small-time crook who decides to rat on his buddies, gets put into the witness protection program, and becomes a stand up comic.
Only name I recognized was Bob Saget. Pretty good movie, worth watching. Well acted, good plot, characters are likeable.

Currently halfway through the goldfinch.
It isn't actually good so far.
Gf doesn't seem to like it either. But she's rhe 'lets finish it in case it turns out to be good after all' kind of gall.

Honestly, she's watched a particular movie so bland and bad three times, each time forgetting how much she didn't like nor remember it. Each time finishing it, despite me saying she didn't like it the last time :D
