Quote from: Simoon on August 07, 2023, 04:51:48 PMMy atheism says nothing about whether or not there is an afterlife. After all, there are Buddhist sects, that do not believe a god exists, but do believe in an afterlife. The only thing atheism is concerned with, is whether one is convinced at least one god exists, or one is unconvinced at least one god exists. When I apply skepticism and critical thinking, to the claim that some sort of afterlife exists, I am unconvinced of the claim. As soon as I am presented with verifiable, falsifiable, repeatable evidence that an afterlife exist, I will believe the claim. Until then, I don't concern myself with conjecture. The time to believe a claim, is when there is evidence to support it, not a second before.
