Given how incredibly (painfully) relevant it's getting in America, I feel it's worth it's own thread where I drop interesting articles, videos and photos of what Jewish Americans are having to live through today as well as some of the historical cases in America; it's a topic I've been deeply interested in lately and one that is painfully under-reported.

One note... a depressing amount of these will come from Florida, but it's a country-wide problem that is being buried under all the circus show, reality T.V. drama like Kanye and Kyrie cause - by making it hidden behind a joke, it hides a dark truth.

So, first off...

Why this Chabad rabbi wants to thank the antisemites on his lawn

The second time the antisemitic protesters showed up at the entrance of the Chabad of South Orlando, they brought a prop. So, in addition to flashing Hitler salutes and waving hateful signs, according to Rabbi Yosef Konikov, "they were able to say,  'Look, how many Jews can we fit into this barbecue grill?'"

Video posted on social media shows Jon Minadeo, who founded an antisemitic group called the Goyim Defense League, bellowing slurs and insults at Jewish people leaving the Chabad campus last Friday.

Jewish Cemetary in Chicago Vandalized

(Quick note - cemeteries are extremely sacred spots in Judaism, and the process of keeping a body "pure" in it's burial is an extremely big deal; unless you know the dead or are providing a service, you are not welcome in a Jewish cemetery for ritual purity. Agree with it or not, it's just a basic respect thing and also still a big deal.)

Two Jewish Men Shot Leaving Worship in LA

Federal prosecutors have charged a man with two hate crimes after he allegedly shot two different Jewish men earlier this week, the Department of Justice announced Friday.

Jaime Tran, 28, is accused of targeting and shooting two Jewish men as they were leaving religious services at two separate synagogues in the same predominantly Jewish neighborhood, US Attorney Martin Estrada said in a news release.

The suspect allegedly targeted the victims "because they were Jewish or he believed them to be Jewish" and was "motivated by hate," Estrada said.

And just because I'm sure this is going to be "so shocking", these same anti-Semites are the same people shooting up LGBT nightclubs and El Paso supermarkets...

Alleged gunman in Colorado Springs LGBTQ club shooting ran neo-Nazi website, detective testifies

(JTA) — The alleged killer in the mass shooting at a Colorado Springs LGBTQ club ran a neo-Nazi website that included a video of shootings at synagogues and mosques, according to a detective who testified Wednesday in a hearing about whether Anderson Lee Aldrich should face hate crime charges.

The testimony came a day before the release of a new report finding that mass shootings in the United States are increasingly linked to extremists.

The detective, Rebecca Joines, testified that Aldrich, 22, did not make the video that appeared on the "neo-Nazi white supremacist" website he administered, the Associated Press reported.

She said the video, which has appeared on other extremist websites, is a shooter training video and includes video of the 2019 attacks on two mosques in New Zealand carried out by a white supremacist, and also featured attacks on synagogues and mosques in Europe.

As "fun" as it would be to branch into that... yeah, Europe (particularly Central Europe [Belgium, France particular] and Western Europe) have had a very long string of attacks (particularly firebombings) against synagogues lately - but that is just too much news to try to keep track of. This is believed to be largely conducted by Muslim migrants, but I think that takes a lot of pressure off of Europe's white supremacists that they deserve as well - both are equally evil.

One notable thing (haven't even got into the "Black Hebrew Israelite" yet...) is just how diverse the hatred is - Asian, African, White all united in attacking the Jewish people.

Anti-Semitism, though inherently linked to certain politics, is also something worse than and beyond politics - it is cultural identity for large parts of the world.

Louis Farrakhan Goes on Anti-Semitic Tirade.

Just for context - Louis Farrakhan has been recognized as an "anti-white theologist" since the 80's, a recognized anti-Semite for just as long, is homophobic and preaches out of a $3 million dollar mosque built by Gaddafi in Chicago - and has close ties to several far-right politicians and organizations.

"I've never been an anit-Semite, and uh... if I had them infront of me they could not prove their charge, BUT! they make the charge... and when they make the charge they have CONTROL of so MUCH of what shapes thinking and the human mind.

So when Jewish people do not think that anyone is WORTHY to criticize them...
