There's another game I got at the game store called Hocus that is composed of impossible objects and a cube that rolls around from one hole the other.
It's like a 3 dimensional maze, that starts out very easy and gets progressively harder as you go from puzzle to puzzle.

Command and Conquer Legions is out, and boy, is it ...something.

Of course I realize that no C&C mobile game could possibly be satisfying, but this is subpar even for mobile games.  Truly we live in the darkest timeline.

Naturally, the corporate takeaway is that C&C fans are unpleasable, but there's a lot that could be done that would both please players and make a moderate amount of profit - it'll just require a moderate amount of effort, which is the true deal-breaker.

For starters, fans are clamoring for remastered versions of Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2 and Generals.  The Tiberian Dawn/Red Alert 1 remaster made an estimated profit of $8 million dollars, which is nothing to sneeze at.  These other titles are FAR more popular, though may require more effort to remaster.  Still, you're looking at another $8 million in profit minimum, probably several times that.  It's unusual behavior for a developer to leave money on the table like this.

Secondly, fans would be delighted with anything resembling Generals 2.  So yes, it'll need to be a PC title, obviously.  Basically, the standard base-building and tactical warfare game with a selectable General who could be upgraded and specialized.  None of this is particularly ground-breaking or exceptionally difficult to create, and has been done before to varying degrees in C&C games already, so we're not asking for the moon here.  The most difficult part may be just getting the right aesthetic mix to gel, but all they already know what works and what doesn't, so just follow the formula (B action movie tropes, dark comedy, hard rock, etc) and you're golden.

Maybe they could call it Comm'n'Conq

I'm a Sonic fan, but I've been disappointed more often than not with Sonic games, so tend to approach them with cautious optimism. Recently, they've been making some good moves, though. This remaster of Generations has me pretty excited. They added a new playable character, with his own levels, bosses, story, 3D hub world, and abilities. One of my biggest complaints about the original was that it was too short, and this new content will definitely help with that.

This is why DMs have to be firm about rules and guard against rules lawyering shenanigans.  Temporary HP is temporary - it's gone the instant the spell wears off, imho.

In Kerensky's name!  Operation REVIVAL (clan invasion of the Inner Sphere) is a go!

And just so you guys know since they mention it in the trailer without explaining, "freebirth" refers to people born naturally (aka dirty, unwashed barbarians) unlike trueborn (genetically-engineered babies, allegedly with enhanced capabilities and barely any inbreeding problems - thanks to a trickle of outside genes, but keep that hush hush!)

Personally, I'm all about Operation BULLDOG (counter-invasion of Inner Sphere territory occupied by Clan Smoke Jaguar) and Operation SERPENT (Inner Sphere invasion of Clan Smoke Jaguar homeworld, destroying most of its war-making capabilities and effectively uprooting the entire clan)

Before you get teary-eyed, Clan Smoke Jaguar was a menace to the Inner Sphere, their own civilian caste (word of advice: never piss off the mechanics) and the other clans, which largely abandoned them in their hour of need.  F around and find out.

I'm playing a new game of Endless Space 2.

Started as the Sophons, a race which excels at science and has little interest in war.  I just finished exploring/pacifying my little corner of the universe when the Cravers showed up, taking me completely by surprise.

Cravers are no joke - they excel at warfare to the exclusion of all else, and they're very, very good at it.  They're ravaging my undefended world.  Little do they know I just built shiny new factories and I just switched my economy from peace to a war footing.

They're about to learn in the most painful way possible why you don't pick on science nerds.

Update: The Cravers have been beaten back but Vodyani flanked me and start abducting citizens.  That's it, the gloves are off.  I'm going to blow up every Ark I see.  New military doctrine: fight two wars simultaneously and win both.

Finally bought/got a ps5.
Using it to play my hogwarts legacy ps4 game. But also playing ratchet and clank rift apart.
The latter is really my favorite of the two for now. Feels like a return to the highlight of the original trilogy. Still early in, but having a blast. Cool scenes and amzing graphics. Great looking characters. Funny. Action packed

Hogwarts legacy, is a slower game. Personally, a bit tedious. Some of the missions are literally: walk to point b from point a and have conversation with fellow student/teacher. The menu is also slow to navigaten and the clothes system is confusing and requires too much effort, needing you to manually go in and add a bonus and the change back in appearance to the look you want. And you find clothes every other turn. And atop of that, you can only carry a few before you have to go sell your excess.

It's happening.  My beloved game is getting a sequel!  Endless Legend 2!

For those who need a refresher, Endless Legend is basically a fantasy version of Civilization V.  But that's not super accurate because Endless Legend has lots of stuff Civ V never had - a summer/winter cycle, factions with major gameplay differences, heroes to lead your armies or administer your cities - complete with levels and skill trees, customizable units, quests galore (and you better do them, because quite a few of them give your faction permanent buffs), a gorgeous art style, mesmerizing music, and computer-named regions that are quite frankly literally impossible to pronounce (For simplicity's sake, you can rename your first colonized region Alpha, the second Beta, the third Gamma, etc just to preserve your sanity)

If you like Civ games or have ever played anything related to Dungeons and Dragons, this game is a jewel in the rough and at a bargain price.

As of typing, almost nothing is known about the new game.  The few things that are known:
* Different planet
* Instead of summer/winter cycle, there's a tidal cycle (not sure if you experience periodic flooding that submerges territory or periodic drought that unearths new territory)
* Probably a Broken Lords faction and a Necrophages faction

"Civilization? Great idea! Uh, when we gonna get one? Love to see if it works."
We 'new atheists' have a reputation for being militant, but make no mistake  we didn't start this war. If you want to place blame put it on the the religious zealots who have been poisoning the minds of the  young for a long long time."

Well, in the game, the world is ending (the climate becomes increasingly inhospitable) and there's a cultist army on the march, so it's actually kinda on point.

The company needs to look up "escapist fantasy".

Your empire can prioritize scientific reaearch, which none of your citizens have a problem with, to rapidly churn out scientific breakthroughs and blow religious, belligerent empires out of the water.  That's the escapist part of it that thoroughly enjoy.

People before the Switch 2 reveal: "Man, Nintendo was really onto something with the Switch. I hope the next console is just like the Switch, but better."

People after the Switch 2 reveal: "What the Hell, Nintendo? This is just the Switch, but better!"
