Quote from: "Plu"Age of Empires II recently got an HD remake launched on Steam, it should work perfectly fine with modern OS and also had a bunch of stuff like pathfinding upgraded.

(Personally I though it was really unbalanced though.)

I've been playing that. It used to be one of my all time favorites. It's one of the games that walls actually do something.

My CD holder fell over earlier, and as I was putting them back into the thing I realized I hadn't played some of them in years, one of them for at least a decade.

Then I realized that most modern games don't even come in CD jewels anymore.

I don't miss 'em.  Did some spring cleaning and found a mess of cracked cases with mismatched CDs and copious amounts of burned discs.  Such a hassle.  The only good thing about it was those great user manuals.   Starcraft, Mechcommander, Homeworld.  <3

God I haven't played mechcommander in years I can't even remember the storyline anymore, but I remember it had a great yellow box

Inner Sphere counterattack on the Clanners (specifically, Fed Comm VS Clan Smoke Jaguar on the planet Port Arthur).  It's one of the string of Clan defeats that ultimately doom the Clan invasion.

Path Of Exile will be starting a fresh Domination League on Feb. 25th
For those who'd like to check out this free PC game (Steam), now's the chance to climb the ladder from the getgo.

Path Of Exile is Diablo style gameplay with Final Fantasy VII style skillgems, making for an insane amount of different possible builds.
Domination adds so-called dominationshrines on the maps add random, each offering a different temporary buff, and often guarded by hordes of monsters. Once the Domination leage is over, you get to keep your heroes and stash, to play with in standard-game mode.
No religion for me thank you very much; I 'm full of shit enough as it is.

Being flabbergasted about existence never made anyone disappear in a poof of flabbergas, so nevermind why we're here. We ARE here.

What's the difference between Domination League and the standard game?

Bit late to the party there Leo. The PS4 has been doing better the the X-Box One since, hell, before launch day. And dammit! Why'd you have to go reminding me that I do not have a next gen console yet, and I'm running out of time before Watchdogs and Second Son are released!

Nothing feels like the first time you crack into an awesome game does it?

Ditto for the opposite effect. I was in a funk for days after I finished Bioshock Infinite. Paying 60 dollars for a game you can't stand is an awful feeling.

Gonna (attempt) to play the ESO beta stress test tomorrow.

My expectations are low, as the game is rumored to be pretty bad.
And on the wings of a dream so far beyond reality
All alone in desperation now the time has come
Lost inside you'll never find, lost within my own mind
Day after day this misery must go on

Oh lord, best of luck my friend. Oh, and speaking of infamous MMO's, diid anyone play the FF14 relaunch? I haven't heard a thing about it since it came out.

No news on FF, and yeah ESO sounds terrible from what I have heard (and most of it comes from hardcore fan boys of the series... who are still defending ESO even after listing all this stuff they don't like about it...)
