Quote from: "Agramon"Thanks for all the Skyrim advice guys! I'll look into the mods this weekend hopefully.
Mods that I heartily recommend for Skyrim:

SkyUI
Immersive Armor
Immersive Weapons
SkyRe (changes a ton of stuff, especially the perk system)
DragonsDiversified
ExtraEncounters
KaceAutoloot (lifesaver)
Inconsequential NPCs (adds a ton of NPCs to make cities feel more populated)
Forsworn children (Forsworn camps have children who also attack you)
Killable children
Killable courier
birds and flocks (aww yiss)
Seriously though... don't forget the Kenny Loggins mod

SilentFutility

Been playing Timeplitters 2 a bit lately, absolutely fantastic game!

Avid gamer right here! In fact, I just got the MGS Legacy collection the other day. Unfortunately, Peace Walker is not living up to the reputation of it's big brothers.

So I picked up one of them Lexibook compact video game things. For twenty buck, fifteen on sale, I figured why not? Because it's lame. That's why not. These are probably why mobile phone games are like. I still don't have a decent phone, butt fuck it. It is interesting to see how many of these games I recognize as rip-offs of other, better, already existing games. Not as hard as you might think. At least four of them were clones of Pang (AKA Buster Bros.). There were a couple clones of Pooyan, of all things.  Several game and watch rip-offs. But I combed thought this hoping to find at least one hidden gem. And I did. Two of them, in fact. I have no illusions that these are clones of other games as well, but I don't recognize the original and found them refreshingly unique that it was worth the price to buy this thing.

The first is called Delivery Man where you don't deliver anything but play a shopkeeper with impossibly long arms who must place items onto a grid of shelves. As you place them, patrons come in and take items off the shelf. The trick here is if the item them select is touching others of the same item, they take all of them. So it becomes a quick-thinking block placing game trying to put as many of the same item adjacent to itself so you can get the big points and free up the most space for placing more items. After a couple rounds of this, you get a couple rounds reflecting life in southeast Asia where you must use the finicky arm mechanics in a timing game to catch rats running back and forth over the shelves. Well, awesome. I'm sure there's a more polished version of this on the iOS store, but this works well enough and is an interesting take on the place blocks to make them disappear genre that followed in the wake of Tetris

The second is called Fire Fighter and in an oddly accurate depiction of the profession, the player controls two firefighters holding a trampoline while a third bounces into the air, rescuing people and putting out the fire. It becomes a weird version of breakout, however you get bonus points for ever person still in the building when the fire is put out. The point is to maneuver your airborne protagonist into the windows with fire while touching as few people as possible. The fire takes several hits to extinguish, but you can carry only one person at a time while in the air-- they get off once you touch the trampoline. It's tricky to get the big bonuses because of this. Sadly, this game actually ends after about twelve rounds which seems dumb to me since during that time, it repeats the backgrounds at least twice. Why not just keep going?

So I got a bit of enjoyment out of these games. Possibly too much for what they are, I suppose. But I like them and that's fine. It would be interesting to see the original games these are ripping off. I found one Flash game called Bouncing Firemen that seems even more like a rip-off than the Lexibook game. So I doubt it's the original.

Any recommendation for Sins of A Solar Empire: Rebellion while it is on sale? I love the genre, it's pretty much what I grew up on, but I haven't played one in a long ass time. Is it pretty much the best out there atm or is there better?

It has an 87 rating on Steam. It looks pretty good, though I have never played it.

I don't know if I've mentioned it before, but the project 64 emulator sounds pretty good. It lets you play a lot of the old N64 games in the computer

My mom also bought me a new controller for my old 64 for Christmas, unfortunately it has a damaged stick...

And it's a bootleg....

Yay eBay!

I just figured out that you can completely skip the healing waiting period in Puzzle Quest by messing with the clock settings on the computer.
