RuneScape's World Event 2: Armadyl vs Bandos started this week. Bandos, the God of War is getting pummeled by Armadyl, God of Justice and Law, kinda ironic and funny seeing Armadyl "pansies" overrunning Bandos war themed god "PvP pros", plus the world event is so much more better than the first 1, since there's (optional) PvP in this one. First one was just grinding Divine Tears, this one is slightly more interactive with caravans and PvP themed conflicts.

Walking dead season 2 is coming out soon, looking forward to that

Yeah. I put many, many hours into DoW1... I didn't finish DoW2.

Speaking of modded games... OpenArena is an amazing game

You know, I never cared for half life or valve in general, I particularly dislike steam.

But I have to admit, some of the half life mods are pretty damn impressive

I <3 Steam.  It's like the Mecca and Medina of PC gaming.  I just got Mecha Space Marine Galactic Conquest 9: Ultimatum 2 Ultimate Edition on Steam for five dollars.  FOR FIVE DOLLARS!  FUCK YES.  That makes me so happy that I want to hump a whale shark, invent then cook nutellawaffletacos, and fly to the moon clad entirely in hats.

Behold His glorious magnificence:

Yeah, PC gaming is becoming centralized around Steam regardless of if we like it or not. Valve should, however, listen to their customers more and not take them for granted when urgent bugs need to be fixed and the community is practically yelling at Valve to do something about the numerous bugs that keep popping up in the Steam client.

There's bugs in the Steam client? Guess I'm lucky to have not seen any so far.

Also, I've been playing some Stargunner again. I remember back when I was a kid I used to play this game and it was awesome. Amazing soundtrack, lots of destruction. It's still a great game, but holy crap the difficulty level. Not often that I meet a game I have to put on easy just to be able to get through the first stage!

And it's free, to boot. You can just grab it from GOG if you have an account there. It's worth a bit of your time to be confronted with just how ridiculously easy modern games have become :)

Same here.  Very, very rarely an installation will be faulty and I'll either have to verify it and get it to redownload the corrupt/missing part or uninstall then reinstall it.  But other than that, works fine.

Yes there is bugs with every incarnation of the Steam client. Some are just not that noticeable to certain types of users as they are others. There is tons of problems with Mac and Linux users, and if you opt into the Steam Client Beta feature it seems to mess up at the least convenient times for you. The regular Steam client for Windows admittedly has only a few minor bugs that are corrected but as with any software new ones always spring up. Valve however has a habit of either not fixing them fast enough, not thinking they are issues to begin with, or fixing one thing only to break another. But that's the world of PC gaming, not a big deal in the end though.

My brother bought me The Binding of Isaac on Steam and I've wasted a few evenings on it already. It's a nice throwback to the original Legend of Zelda dungeons with a demented (and blasphemous) twist.

I logged on to twitter and this is the first thing on my newsfeed. I wasn't sure if I should put it in the funny pictures thread or here, but I decided to put it here because it's a world of warcraft thing that @warcraft posted
