Quote from: "Plu"And their controls suck balls because you control the menu with some crummy controller input instead of just being able to click stuff. Ports to pc are shit. It's annoying as fuck. It even messes up Skyrim quite a bit.

I wonder what kind of machine they did the development for Skyrim on?

Anyone here old enough to remember heroes of might and magic 2?

I picked it up off of Gog, I really missed that game

Heroes of Might and Magic was awesome, although 4 shall forever remain my favorite. Having your heroes actually on the field and letting them fight like regular troops was cool.

I loved 3 to pieces.  Dungeon faction ftw.  Skills:  Leadership, luck, archery, armorer, wisdom, and fire magic.  Spells:  Blind and Beserk.  Glorious.

Three was fun, the maps were great and I liked the addition of the new units. The six per faction in two eventually got old.

And four I just didn't play that much, my CD got corrupted early on in my playthrough of it.

I also played V...it was okay...not great but okay

Yeah, the vanilla version was sorta anemic.  Tribes of the East (barbarian faction, alternate upgrades for your troops, set gear) really helped it out.  Hammers of Fate (dwarves, ?) not so much.

GrinningYMIR

I never bought the x-pacs for V, I might do that now that you say they're good

I can only recommend Tribes of the East.  I am not a fan of Hammers of Fate at all.

Gotcha. I'm actually excited now, I haven't played a good match of heroes for a long time

If you like games like Heroes of Might and Magic, you might also enjoy Fallen Enchantress. It's a blend of Civilization and Heroes of Might and Magic, with a bigger focus on diplomacy, city building, and research, while also having heroes, quests and magic items and it even comes with the option to design your own armies.

I'm really loving the game, it's really big and deep.

Two of my favorite games mixed into one?

Victory

I'll look into it Plus, thanks!

I wish my xbox worked and I wasn't going to sell it in a few days so I could play GTA V :*(.

That was one feature I didn't like back before D3 came out, and I am not surprised to see it go.
