Yeah, so Odin then.  But does he have to hang himself on the World Tree to gain magic powers?

I'm well aware of what Nazis thought about themselves, thanks.

That didn't actually address what I said; you aren't implying that the Germans were somehow better (or even comparable) as Nazis than as "leftists", are you? Because the way it is was worded made it seem like you were saying, "At least Nazis didn't like immigrants.".

The only other option that makes sense to me is that you were comparing the two... which I can at least understand where you are coming from with that, even if it's absolutely stupid.

Shiranu, you are trying to read things that are simply not there.
I can't help that you are interpreting text to suit your mindset.

Your "understanding" is faulty.

And yes, the Nazis, (National Socialist of the German Workers' Party) were leftist.

The label "far right" is a lie perpetuated by the left.

I'm not trying to read anything, I'm literally asking you what you meant by it.

QuoteThe label "far right" is a lie perpetuated by the left.

Yes, that's why the far-left flocks to Neo-Nazism and the far-right condemns it utterly.

Oh, wait...

Private property. Anti-union. Economic competition... that hardly sounds very leftist, or socialist, now does it?

You ended the conversation posts ago, by never actually engaging in one. I have asked you several times to clarify what you meant, and you just ramble on about something else instead of answering the question.

That is not a conversation, which is something at this point I think you are utterly incapable of even having. That's all you ever do; when ever anyone asks you anything, you just post some random ass youtube video or change the subject and act all smug.

Fine, let's ignore what you said then.

My ancestors faced the exact same anti-immigrant rhetoric you use; that we were criminals, that we were religious fanatics, that we were poor young men coming to destroy your culture... and during WW2, that we were potentially enemy combatants of the "others".

One of the largest lynchings in American history was of my mother's people, Italian Americans. Across the United States, and I have been to several of them, there were "internment" (concentration) camps where German Americans were treated horribly, as my dad's family avoided by changing their last name and forcing their children to forget their mother tongue. There were Italian Americans executed by the state for, essentially, being Italian American... all because of rhetoric that we were radicals.

When you use this rhetoric, I can look back on my own family history and see the destructive influence it has. I can see how my mom's family turned to the mafiosos because the government intentionally kept us poor and uneducated in an attempt to get us to leave.

No games, no fucking "got you"... I honestly want to know pr, why should someone from my background buy into your rhetoric when I have seen first hand, when I am a product of, the destructive side of the rhetoric you spew?

If I disagree with why I should agree with you, I promise I won't even argue against other than just saying I disagree with you. I just legitimately want to know why I should accept this rhetoric. Why should I believe that this rhetoric won't end up the exact same for the people you use it against as it ended up for my ancestors?

I see.

So in short, you don't actually have any rational behind anything you say, it is all just an appeal to emotion and as soon as you are confronted with actually explaining your position you find yourself unable to do so.

Fair enough. I respect your honesty in admitting that, even if I disagree with it.

Right this is starting to makes sense now.

Even though you've never really been though any negative association of migration yourself, you've been raised on it growing up by your piers.

But here's the thing. The american-italian groups that migrated to america are not the same kinds of people as those currently forcing their way into Europe or Mexicans flooding into american borders. In the times of the Italian migration, the people who came over actually ended up working, true they took crap jobs, but there wasn't a system of welfare at the time as their are in richer countries today.

When you have millions of people coming to a country, who aren't prepared to work and contribute to the society they migrated to, instead taking benefits from the country, that starts to have an impact of the people of that country on the ground level, leading to government taxing more, less focus on services for infrastructure, and stability, which is also needed in order to support those like the migrants that moved there.

I mean not being funny here, but your ancestors sacrificed everything for a better life elsewhere, went though the hardship of that migration, worked hard clearly so their children would have a better life, and here you are today, at a computer, going to uni, probably with a Starbucks by you, all because your piers got your family to that point.
