Bolton doesn't want world peace, he wants a piece of the world - a big piece.

QuoteJesse talks about the out of control borrowing Donald Trump is having to do to pay for the dangerous tax cuts he and his party forced through. The U.S. Treasury announced that it is projecting to borrow ONE TRILLION DOLLARS this fiscal year, which is an increase of EIGHTY-FOUR PERCENT over last year!

See, its true!  I have to do most of these posts while posing as other people! Where are the other people?  Just in my head?

No reasoned arguments?  I know that some of you are capable ...

1. Large Federal deficits are bad ... why?  Genuine question.
2. The actions of one party are bad, while the same actions by another party are not bad ... why?  Click bait question.

Pretty much.  Here's my whatabout on this topic: what about the fact that the last president to balance the budget was Bill Clinton -- surplus of $128 billion in his 2000 budget -- and that Dumbya immediately turned that into a $157.8 billion deficit in his 2001 budget?

If Democrats are "tax and spend", at least we get the money before spending it, rather than "mortgage our kids and grandkids, fuck 'em, not our problem" Republicans.

Trump reduced the taxes on the rich to such a degree that he had to increase the amount of money borrowed by a whole 84%. When has anything like that ever happened under the Obama administration? False-equivalence is like your whole schtick. Any time someone voices a legitimate complaint of this overtly corrupt administration, you justify it with, "But remember that one time Obama sneezed and didn't cover it up? Clearly, Trump is just more of the same."

This is a perfect example of false equivalency.  Action "A" is compared to action "B" but is not really the same.  False logic is a major human failure.  It really annoys me often.

It is a teen girl who is raped and people say, "well you wore THAT"!
It is a black guy who is shot and people say "well why were you there"?
It is someone who is killed at a demonstration and people say "well, you shouldn't have been there".

Those are the voices that say "hide and shut up and don't speak your mind" and I resent that.  We are intelligent and we have a right to speak.  It is those who demand we shut up who have to change.

I don't always agree with people who speak their minds.  And sometimes I think they are pretty stupid and I get annoyed.  And I REALLY get annoyed with theists.  But that stuff about "I'll defend your right to say it" is true for me.

Just not when we argue here, LOL!  Oh yes, speak your mind and I'll speak mine and even be harsh sometimes.  In these confines...

I agree totally.  Both parties are tax and spend.  The difference is what the parties want to spend it on.  I vote for Roman orgies myself ;-)

Obama helped support genocide in Libya, Syria and Ukraine.  And I voted for him twice.  Is that why you voted for him?  In which case don't complain if direct intervention is made in Venezuela.

Per MMT theory ... taxes are actually unnecessary.  But then MMT folks are insane.  MMT is the theory of cash/credit flow, that concentrates on the flows, and ignores the supply, provided that supply is isn't too low.  In that theory, the Treasury can simply create enough cash/credit every year, to equal the GDP (as it develops).  In that creation from nothing, there are no consequences (inflation).  Which is to say, in their theory, the oversupply of cash/credit doesn't drive inflation, but other causes do.  Socialism and people here should support MMT theory, because in that theory, you can afford any and all social programs, and the only reason not to do so, is because the rich are sadists, not because there isn't enough money/credit to pay for it.

The responders made my point.  Whatever the D party advocated or did in the past, even the recent past is unimportant.  Orange man bad!  Even if Obama and Trump had the exact same policy and actions it is ... Orange man bad!

Maybe the two years I was here, there were all these Progressive objections to the Obama regime, but I must have been drinking too much and missed all those posts.  Hypocrisy isn't just something in the past, it is ongoing today.
