We 'new atheists' have a reputation for being militant, but make no mistake  we didn't start this war. If you want to place blame put it on the the religious zealots who have been poisoning the minds of the  young for a long long time."

Yeah Baruch..we get it. You're smarter than EVERYONE because you and you alone know how the system works so by sitting back and pretending to be superior to everyone else who might favor one side over the other.
There was a moment when I actually paid attention to the bullshit you post, but that horse left the barn, fell over dead, got eaten by the bull and the result became bullshit, but hey...perhaps a few true believers are still following along.
All hail my new signature!

Admit it. You're secretly green with envy.

Susan B Anthony you are not.  And no, I won't down-scale to "basic English" for anyone.  It is OK to be partisan over the World Series ... but this is much more serious.  How it will all work out, I have no idea ... that makes me both more realistic and more honest than the partisans.

My Facebook feed is filled with "I voted" and prayers for America, such as:

Romans 1:18-32 is a passage in the Scriptures reflecting all societies. America is no different. Take time to read it and see for yourself.
If Clinton wins we know we are further down the road than we thought. If Trump wins maybe we have a glimmer, but regardless, if we, as individuals, and a country, don't bow before Jesus our demise is surely to follow

For He alone is worthy and He alone is to be our pursuit.

Voters face long lines and equipment failures.  That's why voting early is a good idea.

I voted at 3:30 PM.  Where I live, there were three people ahead of me and two voting machines, which both seemed like they were working, but I don't know that for sure.  Heavily populated areas are probably the worst places to vote.  It shouldn't be like that.  Those pictures in the video were nightmares.  Although, I don't know how fast the lines were moving.  It would depend on the available machines.  Now if the lines were not moving fast, I could see myself walking out, even maybe if I didn't have something important to do elsewhere.  Long lines are one of the few things that still annoy me, which is actually quite understated.  I look around when I visit Chicago, and people seem to deal with them, but I hate them, probably to an unreasonable level.

Don't these Conservative Christians know that God chooses their political leaders?

Romans 13:1-5 - Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.

So if God chooses Hillary to rule, who are they to complain? Then again, the only reason this country exists is because its people rebelled against the rule of the king. Remind me, what makes this a Christian nation again?
"Oh, wearisome condition of humanity,
Born under one law, to another bound;
Vainly begot, and yet forbidden vanity,
Created sick, commanded to be sound."

It's almost over.  Tomorrow will be mostly about the relief and the sorrow.

The Evangelical vote won't go for Hillary ... and that is probably a good thing.  People here would rather vote for the wrong candidate, than vote for the one the Evangelicals are voting for ;-)

Well, the Religious Right just won, my fellow atheists. Welcome to the New Reich: the Untied Godly States of Murica Under Jesus. Be sure to register at your local state-approved Christian church for mandatory prayer and tithing, or the Jestapo will knock on your door.

I don't think so, and I hope not.  I am on your side when it comes to evangelicals knocking at my door.  And with a sinner like Trump, how can you see Puritans gaining?  And that pro-MJ vote ... not a good sign for the Puritans in that.

Trump is not a sinner.  He is psychotic.  There is a difference.

:(

What I don't get is how the Religious Right has been on the wane for years now, to the point that they're mostly a joke rather than a serious threat.  Then a shitton of people decided to vote for the guy kissing Pat Robertson's ass.  WTF.
