I climbed Mount Katahdin and finished my thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail on Saturday, September 26th.  2,189.2 miles in 177 days.  What a great adventure it was, but the end is bittersweet.  I miss all of the wonderful people I met on the trail, as well as the trail itself.

Congrats dude! That's something most will never do.

Save a life. Adopt a Greyhound.

Congratulations!  That's impressive.  And now I can say, "I know a guy who walked the Appalachian Trail!"  Just by saying that people will assume that I'm that kind of guy.  Well, I am... kinda, but divide hero factor by seven or something.  And the good news is you finished just in time to catch A Walk in the Woods, starring Robert Redford, at the local theater.  Sheesh!  I'd like to get your review on that movie, after actually doint it.  And of course, we all want more details.  Start with something like the most interesting thing that happened during the hike.

Once again.  I AM impressed.

Jack89,

Some guy just broke the AT speed record:  45+ days.  You've probably already heard.
