I'm glad I don't drink this stuff! Micro-brews are much better. Does anyone care about this sell-out? Maybe the Belgians can do it better...

This is what the new can will look like, or so I've heard on R.D. Wolff's radio show:

QuoteIt seems that $70 a share was enough for Anheuser-Busch â€" the brewer agreed to sell itself to Belgian beer giant InBev over the weekend. The new company will be called Anheuser-Busch InBev, and its board will have room for two former A-B executives, including A-B CEO, August A. Busch IV.

The joint press release stated that the company’s headquarters will remain in St. Louis and that no A-B breweries will close as a result of the buy-out.

Don't care.  Coors sold out too.  Business men today take no pride in their work, they just want to get a lot of money and go do drugs and whores.

I would sue the Belgian company over TM violation ... nobody should use America as a logo.

A local brew. Pisses off the Mormons, I don't know why..... I haven't had anything resembling Budweiser for so long I don't remember when. I'm an ale guy anyway.

Last Budweiser I bought I took one sip and gave the rest of the 6 pack away. I'm guessing their target audience anymore are hardcore alcohics who would drink furniture polish for the buzz.. Plenty of guys drink mouth wash.. I knew one in Columbus who stocked up on Scope, but then progressed to the Walmart brand..
All hail my new signature!

Admit it. You're secretly green with envy.

Them at Frat boys.

Never had a Budweiser, Coors... actually, I don't think I have had any American large company beer. The only large name beer I really like is Corona, for a mainstream beer it's pretty drinkable. Otherwise it's all local or Bavarian for me.

Indeed, good riddance to the lot of 'em, and a pox on all their houses!

I don't drink piss in a Budweiser can, I won't drink it in an America can.

Brings back fond memories of my responsible drinking days (late teens; early 20s) when we'd by two cases of Schlitz for $12.00.

Gave up beer years ago....................make mine whiskey!

Same here, except Old Milwaukee.  I don't remember how much it was, but it was the cheapest, so it was always flowing.

I can't say I've never drank a bud, I have. But I can count on one hand with fingers left over the number of times I've consumed it as an adult and most of that was in my early 20's 'fuck it, its a party drink what they got' days. Today, Budweiser is good for exactly one thing for me. If I pop the top on a can and take a sip, I am immediately transported back to 8 years old, sunday afternoon and/or summer holiday cookouts which is the ONLY time my father drank beer and when my father drank beer, it was bud, in a can. And I have to say, for that purpose alone, I'm kind of glad it exists.

Bud's purpose is the same as all adjunct, cheap-ingredient beers. Whether it's Light or Ice or Platinum or Black Crown or whatever the hell. The point is to have something cheap to drink. Them changing the name is meaningless. Their attitude towards craft beer is more annoying.

See - it's got a little crown on top of the US to symbolize the Belgian monarchy! They could put a picture of King Philippe on the can. Otherwise, Americans will never know, no matter how many times and how loudly it's announced in the press.

At least now that the Belgians are brewing it, we could hope it'll taste better - but I doubt I'll ever try it to find out. So if any of you do, let the rest of us know, OK? You can drink it so that we won't have to!
