Poor kid just wanted some chicken nuggets.  The school lunch personnel thought he was trying to pull a fast one.  Actually, I haven't seen many $2 bills in my life, Maybe 10 to 20 of them, and most of those were years ago.  I do have one in an old cigar box where I keep some curiosities.

It's the 3 dollar bills you have to watch out for. 2 dollar bills are legal tender

So these morons literally made an ass out of themselves and were smug about it too. Our protectors ladies and gentlemen. They didn't have to do that to the kid. Poor kid had no lunch, do you know what missing lunch feels like to a teenager? It's hell.

I've seen quite a few and it's always a weird experience.  Like seeing a 3-wheeled car.  What's even the point?  We already have ones and fives at the low end and they work just fine.

None of the government paper money is legit ... the government committing counterfeiting ... doesn't make it more legal than if you or I do it.  At least metal coins have a nominal market value as scrap.  All the paper money since the US Note and US Silver Certificate were eliminated, have been private paper from the private Federal Reserve.  The $2 note of 1976 is FR ... but the older ones are US Note series.  But then, Kennedy killed himself in Dallas, and Oswald was a patsy.

I keep a 2 dollar bill in my wallet at all times... it's been in there for 20 years. I don't know why I put it in there. But, I've transferred it from wallet to wallet.

I keep a $1 star note.  Star notes are replacement notes from a replacement printed money sheet ... when the BoEP screws up.  They have to replace the damaged sheet with a new one, to keep the serial numbers straight.  To identify the replacement notes, they have a star at the end of the serial number.  I keep it for good luck.

I made a lamp shade out of $2 bills. One plexiglas cylinder with the bills glued on like bricks, then another over that to protect them. Seal the lot and add hardware. Looked cool with the light off, but cooler when lit internally. Took a while to convince the bank I actually wanted $100 worth of $2 bills, but that's small town Indiana for you.

I'd like to see a picture of that.

My dad used to have some silver certificates. Don't recall the denominations. Seems like they were $50's.

Two dollar bills used to be pretty common, years ago. I haven't seen one in a long time. If the staff were all young enough, they may have never seen them.

Soon you will be considered crazy to use any paper money or coins at all.  All economic transactions will be by chip, in your credit card, debit card, iPhone, Apple Watch or in your keister.

If you'd said the same about 8 quarters I'd think you were strange. Both $2 tho! (Koran v bible)
Q for theists; how can there be freewill and miracles? And, how can prayer exist in an environment as regimented as "gods plan"?
