there is a very real reason why the "me think thou doth protest too much" is a very real indicator of hypocrisy. It is pretty well proven that those who scream the loudest are almost always the most guilty. But this, as Mike has pointed out, is as puzzling as the Duck ass-holes and the gator hunting whacks with no teeth and whatever fucked-up shit they come up with to show mainstream america that we got some seriously fucked up folks in this country completely unlike real life OR Seinfeld…..

Then he must be a really nice guy!  And the family seems to be a regular Beaver clan!  And by now I'm sure god must have forgiven them--oh, for sure!
well sure, the babble is so full of shit that god approved of that I sometimes wonder how the hell masturbating can be a sin but sending your loves husband into battle while you fuck her is completely acceptable.

What do you mean only a matter of time? They've had plenty of scandals, including disowning family members for getting pregnant out of wedlock, publicly stating transsexuals use bathrooms to molest children (irony much?), and deleting photos of homosexual and interracial couples from their page after they openly invited people to post photos of married people kissing on Facebook.
But those are all within the acceptable (and encouraged) range of behaviors for members of the Religious Reich. Child molestation, though common among members of the Religious Reich, is not openly tolerated by their community.

That no-talent reality-show hack was Executive Director of the Family Research Council? Goes to show the caliber of the "professionalism" of the FRC...

You know what? The Duggar parents really had no concern for these children, not for Josh, not for his victims... They just kept on thrusting themselves into the spotlight. The hypocrisy and secrecy just added shame and pain to an already horrible crime. But Duggar Dad and Mom just wanted the recognition, to be a beacon of light and holiness, to have attention, fame, money. And they claim to be speakers for Good. Servants of God. Servants of their own egos.

I find it hard to believe that TLC would not have known about this..

Aaaaand their freak show of a TV series has been yanked.

Oh, and what does Duggar-supported wingnut candidate Mike Huckabee have to say?

Quote
Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, who has been supported by Mr Duggar's parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, defended the family on his Facebook page on Friday.

"Josh's actions when he was an underage teen are as he described them himself, 'inexcusable', but that doesn't mean 'unforgivable'," he wrote.

Or in other words, "cut the kid some slack, this family represents half the votes I'm going to get this primary season".  Wonder if he'd be so relaxed if a prominent supporter of Jeb Bush got his dick caught in an underage sex scandal.  Or Scott Warner.  Or (dun dun dunnnnnn) Hillary.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: hypocrites.

I love that his dad's called Jim Bob, all you need is Billy Ray and some moonshine.

Yes.  And I'll join you.  Jim Hypocrite Bob!  And the rest of the clan--hypocrite!

I can understand why evangelicals love the show, but it's also really popular with mainstream people who seem to think the Duggars are just quaint, overprotective parents in an increasingly scary world. A lot of people try to defend them by saying their opponents are hypocrites if they preach tolerance but aren't tolerant of the Duggars' way of life. Saying someone is being intolerant of someone else's intolerance isn't a defense against being intolerant.
