The top 10 on the list are my top 10 (in order), the rest are in no particular order. I'm currently working on my top 100 part 2.

Jesus, I couldn't remember the names of 100 films I don't think! I've never ranked mine. My best mate had #1 wizard of oz, #2 Forrest Gump, and they are nowhere to be seen in your top 100.
Q for theists; how can there be freewill and miracles? And, how can prayer exist in an environment as regimented as "gods plan"?

Boyz in da hood is a good movie, but wouldn't be in my top 10, always hated ET,  I love number 8, but would have made 9 higher n the list. Probably 3 or 4. I agree with the placement of Iron Will.

Dances with wolves is in a good spot too, Hate West side story, but as a film buff I recognize its importance, same with several other movies you've mentioned. WALL-E is at a decent place, but I probably would have put toy story there instead

Schindler's list is above field of dreams in my opinion, I would actually put Schindler's in my top 10

Braveheart is a good one

Cat on a hot tin roof is a good one, surprised to see it

Loved Mulan, my favorite Disney movie

TGWTDT is a good pic too

Goonies and Princess bride deserve to be there because of their impact on American pop culture

Good will hunting is a good one

THE BREAKFAST CLUB?! No

THE NOTEBOOK?

My top ten would be

1. Searchers
2. Forest Gump
3. Empire of the Sun
4. Star Wars
5. Wizard of Oz
6. You can't take it with you
7. Cat on a hot tin roof
8. Alien
9. The original Italian Job
10. The lives of others (German film)
"Human history is a litany of blood shed over differing ideals of rulership and afterlife"<br /><br />Governor of the 32nd Province of the New Lunar Republic. Luna Nobis Custodit

Wow. Eclectic much? Good list, didn't read the whole thing. I'm not a "Dances With Wolves" fan personally. "Last of the Mohicans" definitely. And thank you for the original Italian Job. The remake was an abomination.

After the classic "Yank My Doodle Dandy" everything else pales in comparison.

As stated in my OP: only the top 10 are in order, the rest are not. Just to be noted: I do not think all these movies are 10/10, I have a couplee on the list I've rated as low as 6/10. These are just movies I really enjoy.

#6
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is the silliest movie I have ever seen. I don't see how it could ever get an award.  And what? No Grapes of Wrath, Citizen Caine, Tobacco Road, original War of the Worlds, Forbidden planet ((Based on Shakespeare's The Tempest.), the Russian version of War and Peace, and When worlds Collide. He! He! Damn!  I'm getting too old. But I'm surprised that Avatar and Jurassic Park isn't at the top.   :pirate:
There is nothing more frightful than ignorance in action.

Hydra009

I don't think I've even watched 100 movies yet, but I really liked Star Wars, Fight Club, Memento, Kick Ass, and Underworld.

It took me 3 months to come up with 100 exactly. It's been over a year with the second list and I have over 300 films on the list and need to cut over 200 of them. Not easy.

Look, i'm sure people could make a top 100 whatever it is they're into. I'm Into movies. Have almost 3,600 of them on DVD and Bluray.
