LA county sheriffs, about 18 have been busted for misconduct in the running of the LA county jails..
I've been there and they're real shitheads way beyond the norm..

I've never been in an LA County jail, but having lived in Ventura for twenty years, I've heard plenty of bad news about the LASO.

I've seen guys stripped and beaten in county jails.. It's not pretty and the LASO has a particularly nasty reputation. There's a lot more news breaking on this case. Intimidation of FBI investigators to find FBI informants up possibly to the top of the sheriffs office itself. LASO by any account I've seen, heard or read is as bad if not worse than many organized criminal gangs.

Oh, I don't doubt it.  I remember the scandal a few years back about the corruption and abuses in the downtown tower.

I get really pissed by LEO abuse of authority.  I think that any cop convicted of breaking the law in uniform or on duty ought to have any sentence automatically doubled.

Not that that really matters, because those fuckers never get convicted.  Thanks, Code of Silence!
