Justaron here, proud atheist pretty much my entire life. I was raised in a Christian family and although I didn't question faith or religion too much when I was younger I can't honestly think of a time in my life where I didn't wonder why I should believe in god.

I was raised in a pretty liberal state so my atheism was taken pretty well. I've rather recently moved to Texas and seen a whole new side of religion.. being atheist here is akin to being a murderer or a rapist in most people's minds.

Decided to join up a forum of like minded people, so hi!

My co workers are fine with my atheism as long as I don't talk about it. Most of the kitchen is black, and all I can think is that history repeats itself. No they won't lynch me but don't know that many of the civil rights advocates of the 60s were ATHEISTS!
