Nah, no problem.  The cost of living here is less than half of what it was in NY ($900/month oil bills, anyone?), I'm paying less per year for real estate taxes than I paid per month in NY, with what I got for the house in NY I bought a nicer house here and banked the rest (more than 50%) and a HUGE snow blower here is sold in Walmart as a blow drier.  (Although they close the city when there's a forecast of snow - even if the forecast calls for less than an inch.)

I'll just enjoy the life here and ignore the noise level.
