The gf loves watching this one we got here, called 'thuis'. Translates to '(at) home'.

She loves watching it with someone. So that someone is me.

But by god man,... i am not a writer nor a professional actor. But i could do those  aspects ten times better than what this show does.

I keep predicting plots before they happen. And i know that is not a verified brainy move, anyone can do that.
But like this summer during the hiatus it was 'who will have been shot? Person a or person b?'.
I predicted person c. I was right
When i first began watching, they just started a three month long mystery arch of 'who is the rapist'
I saw half an episode and said, it is that background cop. And three months later, so it turned out.

Today, after yet another arc revolving around rape, i believe the 5th or sixth i've seen so far, in about 6 years of watching this garbage...
The bad guy has played his role. He has nowhere to go in the story. Relatively good guy who went to jail for accidentally killing someone stands up go bad guy and pushes him. Bad guy falls down on the street and breaks his neck.

It was done so horribly bad. The acting. The build up. The predictableness of it all.
I began laughing out loud. And even my gf had to agree. We couldn't stop laughing at how completely bad it was.

Does anyone enjoy this stuff? Not bashing you if you do. Taste is personal, but i really don't get it.

The crippling aspect of the format is the very very short rehearsal time, sometimes just hours, or even less, before filming. Five episodes a week is a killer schedule according to the folks I chatted with when I was in LA.

That's my thirty year old memories of the routine. It may be better now, but from what I  hear it ain't.
We 'new atheists' have a reputation for being militant, but make no mistake  we didn't start this war. If you want to place blame put it on the the religious zealots who have been poisoning the minds of the  young for a long long time."

I think it would also help if rhe writers wrote thesd characters as actual people.

Person a anf person b are both in a jam. Naturally, they wind up in bed together with very littld build up.

Me: 'Didn't b kill a's mom?'
Gf: ' oh, yeah  you are right. Not her intention, but yeah. She gave her a heart attack when she tried to get her thrown out on the street.'
Me: 'And didn't b blame a for putting his dad in jail, where he died?'
Gf: 'oh, yeah, i had forgotten about that.'
Me: 'Seemingly, so did a.'

When I was a kid, down on the farm, we always had "dinner" (our word for lunch) at a certain time so that "daddy" could watch his soap opera. I don't recall which one it was, but we had to watch it every day it was on.
Now that I think of it, maybe it was As The World Turns.

Oh, you sweet summer chile.

Good writing isn't the point and would probably detract. The point is to be addictive and they accomplish this by always having something going on.

My ex used to watch one of these things and in it a new character was introduced who'd just came to town to make a new start, but hopes no one uncovers her secret. She had a scene ever day for a fucking week where she just daydreams about how much better her life is going to be but that she hopes no one learns her secret Her secret. Secret. Secret. Secret. Secret. Secret.

And it's always like that. The plot moves forward only every so often and several scenes are just there to remind you that there's a chick in a shitty apartment set bitching about her secret and don't you wonder what it is?
