Apperantly, a little war broke out in Marseille between English and Russian hoooligans last night. I doubt if any news portal even tried to give a healthy outlook. But it looks pretty crazy and bigger than it was NOT let on in media which is probably good in a way. Because apparently there were also riots and clash with the police.

A lot of people are blaming the general alcohol ban not being held in Marseille. And that Russian fans attacked English fans. It also says that 'local youth is to blame'.

In short, noone really knows what happened, but 30 injured, 4 heavy and 1 is fighting for his life. It's disgusting.

Yes, we must shut down all mass popular venues, including soccer matches ... because they encourage terrorism ;-(  The whole world must become a "safe place" for the little boys and girls.

Are you taking any medications?
Don't do that.

This is not about "safe places". Nor the solution is about 'banning' anything.

All of which proves you never have a baseball bat when you need one.

Yea; I saw an article on Yahoo's Homepage.   Regardless of the sport involved; I just don't get the entire "fan" thing; especially to the point of being violent.

Soccer games in the M.E and SOE are interesting!  The winning teams supporters always treat everyone to a shower of hundreds to thousands of expended rounds raining back down!   Weddings are cool to.........  .)

Yeah--ban soccer--that would not be a bad thing!  Would it?????

Ban football? I keep forgetting Americans practically have no idea of the hooligans and football fanatism in the rest of the world.

Shoe!  Soccer is NOT football.  There is no such thing as American football--there is just football.  And it is still football even though the NFL uses their hands to play the game, and rarely their feet.  And soccer uses their feet--and heads at times.  Soccer is long and boring--football is long and exciting!  HA! Gottsa there, didn't I!!! :))

There is no such thing as 'soccer', because 300 million people living on an 'island' think there is.

There is just football and the other more than 7 billion people on a planet call it football, because you need to use your feet only playing it.

Well, hell, Shoe!  Using logic and thinking?????  It will not work--I'm a theist in this area!  Football is played in the USA--soccer is not even a sport--it's an activity--like curling or ping pong or needle point.  :))

:rotflmao:  Pfffft!

PS I don't get anything from American football, I need to learn the rules or what the hell actually they are trying to do at least. But baseball always looked much better to me honestly. I like that one. :)

American sports history ... back in the day before TV, part of the point of watching baseball, was going to the ball park and hanging out with your dad or your bros.  With television, baseball had competition from football.  Americans are too Roman, to like baseball more than gladiatorial fights like football and boxing.  We want our blood sport, not crybabies with sprained ankles ;-)

The sport of American football requires only kicking and only occasionally. American soccer is really football- 95% of play is with the feet. Ain't that hard to figure out. Rugby, now; that is some manly shit.  :2thumbs:

Now you are speaking my language.  Baseball is THE game of the ages!
