Feminists and antifeminists claim to speak for entire demographics.

I've noticed a really annoying tendency, whenever issues about a specific demographic come up, both feminists and anti feminists have to claim to speak for that demographic.
An example of this would be transgenderism.
The bathroom "DEBATE"
Most people with more then 2 chromosomes can agree that where someone takes a piss is pretty fucking irrelevant trans or not, but it seems that this stupid bitch claims that she speaks for the entire trans demographic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJg7Sh1QQ-Q
Then you have the feminist side of this stupidity.
I was discussing transphobia on facebook with some stupid feminist, and they claimed that it's transphobic to say that you wouldn't date a transgender person, I said if you wont date someone who's pre op or who can't have kids that's not transphobia, that's preference, they then said I can't say what is and what isn't transphobic, or that I can't spread transphobia, ironically they're the one trying to define what should offend trans people.
The same shit happens with racial issues
The same shit happens with gay rights
In general, both sides pull this shit.
To clarify I consider myself an antifeminist.

I wonder if this is related to gay speech and the soapbox. I knew a guy who laid on the gay speech around me. He would  preach some childish things in that voice. He would use that almost Southern drawl (gay or Oklahoman?) to give his plans and approvals authority, like a drag queen decorates a bad joke.

I've seen your broadcast. Despite your soapbox, you don't seem to be full of it.

Politicians like to pretend to speak for the majority.  It sends the message that everyone agrees with them, and you should too. Christians act like they speak for everyone.  For Christ sakes, they even claim to speak for God (talk of self aggrandizing inflated egos), but they lack the more honest perceptions of politicians, who don't necessarily believe their own bullshit.  Speaking for the majority creates the image (at least to one's self) that he is on the right side.

All groups claim to speak for entire demographics. It's the first rule of rhetorics of any kind. Goes back to ancient Greek.

(Jannabear you were supposed to stay away from this bullshit. :sad2: Why on earth you insist on to hold on to this tunnel vision? )

I avoid speaking for all Americans or all Jews ... but I indulge some times.  It is sinful rhetoric.  We only speak for ourselves.  But I must use rhetoric (trying to force right arm down that wants to Sieg Heil).

On the topic within the topic ... my boss had a solution for the current debate.  Get rid of all group toilets.  Only one toilet per restroom, and the door locks.  If someone comes in on you, it is your own fault.

Don't do that.

I actually like Bearings videos, I'm subscribed to him, and just like the amazing atheist while they can come off as being people who speak out as if they represent everyone in the atheist community, most clever people know its just their opinion they are giving.

He also brought up recently how the australian government released this advert, in its claim to 'tackle domestic violence'.

A shame that all this adverts does is show little girls to be fearful of boys, and make all little boys think they are the devil.

QuoteA shame that all this adverts does is show little girls to be fearful of boys, and make all little boys think they are the devil.

While I find the video poor, I find your criticism of 'they make little boys look like devils' very ridiculous also. The video is designed to show that a certain form of behaviour and attitude is gained when people are kids and aims to do that in seconds. And it doesn't matter how much this offends who -men or women- this is the case. Esp. for young males. It may not be you or someone you know or anyone around you, but that doesn't change that males grow up being subjected to far more conditioning to show violence.

You want boys and men to be subjected of the same frame of mind in domestic violence issue? Then stop acting like it is exactly the same situation for males and females when it comes to people they live together and share their life with.

I used to follow news of male victims of domestic abuse and the only enemy of abused men are other men who constantly mocks and makes fun of how a man could be abused or raped by women. It's so severe, so disgusting it doesn't have a value as news or crime. ANYWHERE. It's the standard of the patriarchal culture -which you all deny that exists. Men are so badly screwed by the traditional standard and by other men in domestic abuse and rape issues, it is almaost a fucking 'myth'. Because you know, they are men. This has been the same before feminism, feminists and SJWs existed. When you attribute one gender with ridiculous traits and make it a standard above others, the other side of the coin fucks him in the ass. Because you can't be sexist to one gender without being sexist to very other.

Having said all that it must be very alien for most males to imagine that when you remove all the delusion of civilisation, gender and this and that and go down to the very fact that we are just violent animals in nature, but nothing else, the naked issue is that women have to live with bigger and much stronger animals in close quarters. It seems this is something men have no idea of in traditional terms. No, this doesn't mean 'all men are rapists or abuser or shit'. Not even remotely close. Don't come to me with that please.
