Munch - crazies don't usually realize they are crazy.

Sadly neither does the psychological association. I suppose it comes under less dangerous.

We really need a PKE meter for testing craziness, so we know which religious followers are safe

The mindset of many "end times" nuts really isn't as dark as you would believe.  Yes, they do pray for the end times to come soon, but not because they don't care about people being tortured so that they can get their piece of the pie.  They really see the world as a dark and scary place.  Every stranger is literally a potential demon, or at least the servant of Satan.  They literally believe that the world itself is getting more and more evil, filled with vile, wicked people.

Keep in mind that these people have severely compromised abilities for critical thought.  Their contradictory, ignorant beliefs require them to shut down the ability to think critically in order to maintain so many conflicting beliefs simultaneously.  Many of them are literally afraid of pretty much anyone they don't know who is also outside of their religion, and many people they do know.  They see outsiders as agents of Satan, though, if they like the person, unwitting agents, seeking to rip their faith from them and drag them down to Hell so they don't suffer alone.  The believe that Satan has such a hold over them that these people are miserable and suffering and they want all good little Christians to suffer with them because they have let Satan in.  They believe that they have done what they could to save these people, but these people don't want saving, so there's nothing they can do.  The reality, of course, is that they spouted a bunch of crazy shit and the person they were talking to reacted as would be expected of a rational human being, but that's not what they see.

So for many of them, I dare say probably most of them, it's not about the suffering that will come to others.  They lead tortured lives, never quite good enough to match the impossible standards to which they hold themselves.  A lot of times they live in constant fear of being found not good enough on the day of judgement.  For many fundamentalists when Jesus comes back, if there is a single sin, a single stain on your soul at that moment, you burn in Hell.  Jesus is coming back any second now, and it takes at least a few minutes to touch yourself while having "impure thoughts".  They have convinced themselves that they are happy because they have found the Lord, but the reality is they are depressed, anxious and terrified.  So in the times when they do think themselves good enough they pray for Jesus to come back, to take them while they are pure, to end their suffering and deliver them from the dark, dark world in which they live.  They usually aren't thinking about the people who would suffer, and when they do, in their minds the suffering is what those people chose.  It's their own fault for not accepting Jesus when given the chance.  They "chose" the suffering to come over obeying God.  They feel alone, terrified and unworthy.  When we think of the end times we think how terrible such a concept is because of the billions who would suffer.  All they're really thinking about is an end to their own suffering.  But, sadly, they don't even realize this.  They have convinced themselves that they are happy.  They don't even realize how badly they are suffering.  They are in a prison of their own making just praying for a friend who doesn't exist to save them from it.

At least, that's how I remember being a fundy, in hindsight.

I wonder if you've ever considered this verse:

1 Corinthians 15:22
For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.

I can tell you flat-out that your experiences in nominal Christendom have perverted your conception of what God's plan truly is. No man is beyond salvation, because God has no limitations. For one, consider this:

Isaiah 55:11
So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

If His will simply will NOT go unaccomplished, then what have you to say about this verse?

2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

There you have it. God's will is that all will come to repentance, and His will won't return to him void.

Do YOU not believe that the world is increasingly full of wickedness? I recently saw a video recounting a Muslim man who burned a young girl horribly because she was wearing lipstick. Let's not even mention the many children who die at the hands of radical Islamic jihadists, who outwardly proclaim that all who don't follow Muhammad deserve death by horrific measures.

The world has not become more righteous; it is the same as it ever has been, no different from the Nazi era. Evil must and will be eradicated, by force, by our Lord God Almighty, Jesus Christ.

Fortunately, the Bible isn't a reliable guide, in spite of being occasionally inspired ;-)
