I experienced a good share of discrimination in Montreal.  But if you go to British Columbia, it's not like that.

Norway and Sweden hate foreigners. UK likes foreigners too much.

Go Canada, and just steer clear of the French speaking areas. Those French Canadians will piss in your mouth if you let on that you're American.

A coworker of mine, who visited France ... he was bilingual in English/Spanish ... so when in France he always spoke in Spanish, and told French folks he was from Spain ;-)  But I hear tell, the most annoying thing Anglophones are to Francophones, is we are obnoxious bores.  Francophiles say that if you learn proper French etiquette, they are more forgiving of your mangling their language (aka you let them think that you admire everything French and wish you had been born that way ;-)

What are you doing?
Are you taking any medications?
Don't do that.

Americans are subjected to a certain discrimination everywhere around the world. You are going to hear/experience something bad WHERE EVER you go, in certain places in the Europe, it is even going to be 'hostile' in the shape of white European stoicism. That's worse in long term than having a confrontation with someone about anything. It's freezing cold, solid condescension and what drives people crazy in many occassions.

Most Americans are not like this. If you speak their language and know their culture, it is easy to get along with them, get into their circles. This doesn't work with most Europeans and their culture. It's a fucking cast system. You would be welcome as much as you desire to be them, but know your place.

-Also you (Americans) won't be accepted anywhere near that you are used to see yourself in the hierarchy of the picture of the Western culture when you are in Europe.

The UK is not different, its social culture is far more tougher and hostile than yours. (Goes for Europe generally in comparison, imo) The perception of their culture they created is different than reality -like most things on this issue- and they are the best at it as the old wolf.

I'm not being obnoxious, most of you sound clueless of European culture(s) in general. I'd pick Americans -as in people- over the most of the Europeans any day, even though Europeans would agree with me on world politics in general, while Americans can't acknowledge the most of it.

Exceptions are just exceptions for both cultures, as they are for any others.

Should I stay in Murica, or move to Canada, Uk, Norway, or Sweden.
If I moved to Uk I would be involved in marches to protest their shitty government.

Fuck that Shit. Let's go to Finland.
