We 'new atheists' have a reputation for being militant, but make no mistake  we didn't start this war. If you want to place blame put it on the the religious zealots who have been poisoning the minds of the  young for a long long time."

Yeah, this shit is only taught in America, but it still shouldn't exist.

I'm an American. Never heard of it.

Will you be ranting all night?

An intentional plot to put American children intellectually behind. It's done a wonderful job.

Given that mass education in general doesn't do more than get people up to the level required to fill out a job application, who cares?

If you're a Trump hater, and observe the fact that there are people who have completed high school and college who participated in the capitol riot, that, to me, doesn't say much for how informed the general public at large is. Or, if you're an atheist, the fact that many people in America who have completed a four-year degree still believe in the God of the Bible.

Or stuff like this, which apparently meets the mimimum level of personal and social development required to attend mass college:

I think that, to be highly informed, one would have to devote a significant amount of their personal time to becoming more informed, such as by reading books and interacting with people. One can't expect an education system designed for mass consumption, with an emphasis on merely providing a minimum level of training for the job sector rather than personal enlightenment, to be particularly informative.

Don't think common core is as widespread as the screamers claim. Kinda like how 3 trannies turned into a million overnight but nobody can even name two of them.

There's a lot of fear-mongering in the media over school and college, such as people suggesting that people don't attend college and attend trade school or some other credentialing program. I see a lot of this in right-wing media fearmongering over liberalism and leftism in universities (e.x. "librul university", despite right-wingers like Sean Hannity and Ben Shapiro having attended these "librul universities" themselves), but obviously it's an exaggeration, and the majority of things which go on in universities have nothing to do with politics. The closest I can find to something objective about the subject are statistics showing a relatively high percentage of university professors who hold left or far-left political beliefs.

The reality, however, is that both Republicans and Democrats invest funding into public schools and universities, and you will find people on the left who complain about the influence of right-wing politics just as you will vise versa.

Has this panic wave crested yet?
