The cubs are behind Milwaukee,  St Louis, Cincinnati, and Pittsburgh with no hope in sight. AND the Reds beat SF 8-3 tonight! Woohoo!

106 years!  This is weird because just last night I was having this conversation with people, although no one actually knew how long it's been.  But you know the Cubs do have a significant following.  They're kind of loveable underdogs for people who don't think winning is important.  I've only been to two pro ball games in my life.  One was a double header at Wriggly Field when I was about 10 years old.  OK, so I guess that counts as three pro ball games then.  The Cubs won both games that day.  I had a great time.

A friend of mine is a rabid cubs fan from Illinois. Whenever the subject comes up about baseball his response is always the same. "Fuck you and your Reds!"
I kinda expect them to win sometime soon so MLB can milk the "curse" the same way as they did with the Red Sox.
