Is anyone else a "Sunny" fan?

I've been wondering, is anyone else here a fan of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia"? It is undoubtedly the funniest show on TV. With all this crap like "Two and a Half Man" I know the future of sitcoms looks dreary, but this show destroyed any doubts I had that there wasn't anything good on TV Anymore.

QuoteThe series follows "The Gang," a group of five depraved underachievers: twins Dennis Reynolds and Deandra "Sweet Dee" Reynolds; their friends Charlie Kelly, Ronald "Mac" McDonald. From season 2 onwards they are joined by Frank Reynolds(Danny Devito), the man who raised Dennis and Dee. The gang run the dilapidated Paddy's Pub, an Irish bar in South Philadelphia. Each member of the gang shows varying degrees of dishonesty, egotism, selfishness, greed, manipulation, pettiness, ignorance, laziness and unethical behavior, and they are often engaged in controversial issues. Episodes usually find them hatching elaborate schemes, conspiring against one another and others for personal gain, vengeance, or simply for the entertainment of watching one another's downfall. They habitually inflict mental, emotional and often physical pain. They regularly use blackmail to manipulate one another and others outside of the group. Their unity is never solid - any of them would quickly dump any one of the others for quick profit or personal gain regardless of the consequences. Everything they do results in competition among themselves and a considerable amount of the show's dialogue involves the characters arguing or yelling over one another. Despite their lack of any discernible success or achievement, the people in the Gang generally maintain high opinions of themselves and display an often obsessive interest in their own reputations and public images. Despite this high sense of self-worth, the Gang often has virtually no sense of shame when attempting to get what they want and often engages in activities which others would find humiliating, disgusting, or even preposterous, such as smoking crack cocaine in order to qualify for welfare, seducing a priest, or hiding naked inside a leather couch in order to spy on someone.
That's their wikipedia article. It should give you a pretty good idea of their type of humor. Just look at these videos.

I tried to watch it once years ago, Farroc, and must have caught it on an off-night but seriously.... I just didn't find it funny at all.    I'd heard good stuff so thought I'd give it a whirl.......  but noo.   It's not for me - somehow.  The next time I tried I'd missed way too much and had no clue what was going on.   It's a very popular show though.  Lots of my friends simply won't miss it for the world.  :)

Yeah, I think Sunny Lane is pretty good.

Oh wait. You're talking about some TV show.

Nevermind.

Love this show. In a few weeks, I blazed through all of the seasons on Netflix and one on Amazon. Favorite episode was the one where Charlie puts on a play for the waitress and Frank has to sing that song in which the line is "boy's soul" which he keeps singing as "boy's hole". I fucking died.

Mine was the scene where Dennis and Dee invited their parents to dinner at a fancy restaurant to "tell them something disturbing" and Frank accused them of banging each other until Dennis got up and screamed, in front of everybody, "I AM NOT BANGING MY SISTER!". But the scene where Charlie tried to tell his date he was a philanthropist but ended up saying "Full-on rapist." was also pretty good.

It is literally the only show(With the possible exception of SNL) I have ever seen in which I laughed out loud at every episode.

When I first saw it I initially thought it wasn't as good as Seinfeld because all the characters in Sunny are essentially the same stupid bro dude character, while the characters in Seinfeld are more varied. But it started to grow on me and I like it more than Seinfeld now.

I love this show, even though it's not as good as it used to be. The gang can be hilarious. Not all eps are winners, but the ones that are make me laugh so hard.

Is it the funniest show on TV? No. FX's other shows like The League and Archer are funnier. Not to mention countless of other shows on other networks.

In secret.

My husband hates the show, so I watch it when I can. I think it's hysterical.
