Edit - in hindsight, kinda sorta needed a lyrical NSFW warning on that one... so... racist lyrics warning (done in sarcastic parody by a Texan Jew.)

A (multi-)generational anthem.

Edit - I would just like to say I posted this before it became a culture war topic...

"Oh, wearisome condition of humanity,
Born under one law, to another bound;
Vainly begot, and yet forbidden vanity,
Created sick, commanded to be sound."

For the first time in awhile, I'm actually *feeling* music again - I've been listening because I know I like music, but I haven't been able to actually perceive it; it was just background noise even when I focused.

Still nowhere near how much I use to appreciate it though. Maybe should try producing again sometime, maybe my block is starting to go away.

My brother spent hours reading that album cover. When I want something horny I reach for Bix.

It happens to me from time to time. I'm not writing anything....maybe it's the heat.

And now for something simultaneously ethereal and harshly mechanical.

That's really nice.

I added some ominous organ parts on this song. I can't shake my church organ playing days in Catholic chapel. Bobby sync-gated the vocals on the last verse for a cool effect. So many talented musicians in our lives, older ones slowly fading away like rusty cars and the younger ones pull up with fresh paint. Just don't quit your day job is my advice.  Local music pays about $0.36 per hour when you really look at it. Typically, local performing musicians are quirky characters.

PS I tried to play a Bach Fugue tonight, just to see. Nope, not gonna happen. If I wanna write a great song I just take a Bach progression, scramble the order and instant genius. I much prefer the impressionists of the 1800s but for raw music theory power; Bach is the end all.

Can't remember if I posted this earlier, but it's epic enough to repeat if I did :P.
