Another meaningless life comes to an end.
He joins the rest of the dearly departed in the form of a memory.... But not for long.

The good ones always die young.  :'(

I'll never understand why Popes aren't more supportive of trans people.

These dudes change their names and change their pronouns and wear dresses.  You'd think if anyone would be an ally, it'd be the guys who have more dead names than P Diddy.

And don't forget the red shoes!

We 'new atheists' have a reputation for being militant, but make no mistake  we didn't start this war. If you want to place blame put it on the the religious zealots who have been poisoning the minds of the  young for a long long time."

*Final take lol*

He was an objectively, undeniable child-abuse supporting head of an organization that routinely tortures and kills LGBT+ people (particularly in minority communities), that promotes poor sexual hygiene that leads to large outbreaks of STDs and other health issues (particularly in minority communities), who has historically exploited and subjugated the peasantry (particularly in minority communities), who have stolen untold trillions in cultural artifacts from around the world (particularly from minority communities), who have supported, promoted and engaged in political "games" that lead to the mass execution of millions of people (particularly minorities) so that one man's property could become the churches instead (often times minorities); who supported in a far too comfy way the mass execution of Jewish and other "undesirable" people in Nazi Germany - and stays to this day incredibly quiet on the ethnic violence the countries heavily ruled, influenced, or socially normalized by and to Catholic faith continue to commit against their own minorities; this includes the "third-world" but also in "civilized" societies such as France and Spain, whom routinely continue acts of cultural suppression and often just outright aggression against those who were often subjugated by the sword to be a Catholic vassal rather than identifying as French or Spanish by choice.

I realize that to many people Catholicism is something truly deep and beautiful - and I will agree that when it's been practiced at it's best it has been to a large degree these things.

But no institution of man is infallible, and the Catholic Church has perhaps failed to live up to it's theological principles more than any institution ever has; it has routinely tortured in the most inhumane ways it's own who simply questioned why things were so terrible for the peasant and not for the church, or even just why the Bible means this and not that; it has built monuments of obscene opulence and a Satanic use of slaves to build it's cathedrals - cathedrals that are adorned with the very demons they believe awaited those who broke the Biblical rules! And yet many a Pope engaged in adultery; engaged in all manners of overindulgence - those to be told in polite society and those so grotesque that knowing about their inhumane atrocities is a cancer upon one's soul; they lived in lavish palaces the likes that very few emperors even dreamed of seeing; they employed the greatest minds and greatest artists the world has ever seen to build vanity projects to their egos.

Few men have embodied with such sick vigor the desire to practice the opposite of the teachings of Christ than the papacy and many of its clergy. This is not opinion, only historical truth; the reality is that the Catholic church has had countless brilliant, holy and saintly men and women who have saved it from fully falling to the rot within, but ultimately no one person will be able to change such an institution so thoroughly burrowed through by the roots of corruption and power.

WindowsGuy: Bergoglio is a false Pope. Benedict XVI never truly resigned.

LinuxGal: By the 1983 Canon Law  Benedict resigned of his own free will and Francis was duly elected.

"If it happens that the Roman Pontiff resigns his office, it is required for validity that the resignation be made freely and properly manifested but not that it is accepted by anyone."

WindowsGuy: There are several problems with Benedict's resignation under Canon Law. His resignation was invalid or at least partial.

LinuxGal: What problems?

WindowsGuy:

LinuxGal: When do you hold the conclave to elect the replacement Pope?

WindowsGuy:

I saw on my news feed that Benedict's personal assistant will soon put out a book telling all of the gory details about the guy.
