Quote from: Greatest I am on September 09, 2022, 05:32:25 PMMost of us, 94% if memory serves, think in a dualistic, body soul, --- or body spirit, --- type of way.
Even assuming that that's true (and it's quite doubtful), drawing the conclusion that dualism is true from the fact that lots of people believe in dualism is a textbook example of the appeal to popularity logical fallacy.

QuoteWe all have what are called six senses, to some degree.
Humans have way more than that.  Depending on how you break it down, it's really more like a dozen to a couple dozen to thousands.

QuoteI and my victim can vouch for telepathy
Such a shame James Randi cancelled that million dollar challenge, because you'd be a shoe in for that money.

Quoteonly having a personal experience can ever be proof for the sceptic
Is it really the case that "sceptics" will only ever accept direct, firsthand proof?  How many "sceptics" have been to Pluto or seen the last Ice Age or seen quarks?  Yet these things are taken seriously because there's solid evidence for them, while psychic powers, ...eh, not so much.  Gee, I wonder why!

QuoteI was a sceptic till I experienced what I could not deny, due to having a live person that also admitted and confirmed experiencing my telepathic touch.
Anecdotal evidence.  The gold standard of evidence, probably on account of how difficult it is to fake.  Very convincing.  /s

QuoteWe are indeed star stuff, but sentience and telepathy might be a local or quite rare phenomena.
Agreed.  Very rare indeed.  Vanishingly so, even.  I would also posit that self-awareness is another rare phenomena.

Quote from: trdsf on June 03, 2022, 12:51:14 AMWhat, precisely?  There isn't anything more to us than that we're self-replicating molecular machines made possible, but not inevitable, by physics and chemistry and biology.  What more -- and I mean what more that is concrete and demonstrable -- is there?

And why isn't it remarkable enough that we are, as Carl Sagan so eloquently put it, "star stuff contemplating star stuff"?  what more can you possibly need?
We are discovering everyday that there are infinite layers to the universe beyond our *current* understanding; hence the need for science.

When science itself is saying there are realms beyond our current understanding, I rather wait for them to determine what it is than speculate myself.

Not at all.

Fact is, no one is smart enough to show anything non-dualistic to argue against duality.

Try to name any exception.

Telepathy, check

Basic BB formatting, not so much (it throws me for a loop too, but I'm just an average muggle)

I had to edit.

Apologies for missing it originally.

The thing is, I see no exceptions to duality.

The confirmation of right thinking and thinking the way the vast majority does is nice when seeking to confirm ones positions.

That was my first taste of wisdom the day of my apotheosis.

If you are a dualistic thinker, body soul/life spirit thinking, how do you see your non-physical form?

Well, Greatest, I see my non-physical form to be non-existent; another fiction created by the religious to control
the masses.  It is a good money maker for them, tho.

That is a good deflection on much that we would agree on.

That aside.

You are in the 5% who do not think in a body soul or spirit way.

Ok.

The complete opposite of what I put. Thanks.

Where do you see wrong thinking in me, ass hole?

5% huh.  Where did you get that stat?  I'm curious.

If you dispute it, get something that does so that I might compare.

Some reject my sources without providing an alternative.
