This one is borderline too far to share with "polite" society, but it's really fucking important - a Neo-Nazi marine was plotting a mass killing of minorities and to sexually assault white women to help contribute to the next generation of whites. He wasn't alone - and here in lies one of the triggering parts; he wanted to do this to join a group known as...

"Rapekrieg". No, I'm not making that up, that's literally what a bunch of armed, radicalized white guys decided to name themselves. Jfc.

There is a reason the government has been saying white supremacists are the biggest threat to America - maybe we should have listened.

We 'new atheists' have a reputation for being militant, but make no mistake  we didn't start this war. If you want to place blame put it on the the religious zealots who have been poisoning the minds of the  young for a long long time."

Yeah, that's why it isn't a leap to think that anti-abortion policies have a similar thing underneath. To be honest, I was sceptic when I was speculating before, but it makes more sense when I keep thinking. Especially, with their general logic and vision of 'life'.

Holy shit, yes it's important!  Shiranu, thank you for posting this; people really need to be aware that this kind of behavior not only exists, but is often overlooked by those in positions of authority who should be preventing it.

The last paragraph in the article reads:

QuoteEfforts to investigate far-right extremism within the military increased in the wake of the Jan. 6 insurrection, when a number of veterans were charged with attacking the Capitol. But efforts to root out extremism faced stiff opposition this month. Every House Republican voted down an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act tasking the Departments of Justice, Defense, and Homeland Security to produce a report about extremism within the services. In the Senate, the Armed Services committee demanded that the Pentagon "immediately" stop its Countering Extremist Activity Working Group, as it believes extremism within the military is "exceptionally rare" and the working group's efforts are " an inappropriate use of taxpayer funds."

Members of the military represent a cross section of society, so it only makes sense that there will some who believe in extremist ideologies.  That has always been the case, and acknowledging that fact in no way diminishes the value of our military as a whole.  What does diminish the value and effectiveness of our military is for our politicians and the public in general to stick our heads in the sand and ignore that fact rather than investigate and weed out the bad actors before they do any harm.
