And then they go on The Ben Shapiro Show to complain about how the Left is cancelling them for using their free speech.
"Oh, wearisome condition of humanity,
Born under one law, to another bound;
Vainly begot, and yet forbidden vanity,
Created sick, commanded to be sound."

They don't actually lose their job from being banned from twitter for hate speech or inciting violence, getting banned from twitter IS their job - and they cash out from a television job, a speaking tour, and/or a book about it.

Those crazy liberals go hysterical over the smallest things (excuse me while I go have a meltdown in Target about the bathrooms or flip my crap over rainbow-colored cookies).

Anyways, CFCs were in the news, now they're not in the news, so I assume that problem was taken care of without the least bit of effort (it's so obvious that there's no need to look that one up) and now I'm going to imply that a different, more extensive and much more dangerous climate problem will be similarly solved with no action. Flawless logic.

Walsh also seems to mistake what the media talks about as what scientists are talking about - scientists are still very, very concerned about the condition of our ozone layer and that it could be worse than they thought.

"If people who think like me don't talk about it, it's not real/isn't true/etc.!"

Yeah, a lot of news junkies think the 24/7 news cycle reflects reality. In actuality, the 24/7 news cycle represents a thin slice of conflicts (and presented almost entirely without context). Plenty of very serious problems get scant airtime and a lot of petty drama gets top billing.

Sometimes, unresolved problems get short bursts of attention or get buried entirely.

Also, sometimes positive but unexciting developments are ignored in favor of it-bleeds-it-leads infotainment.

So you can get both downplaying of grave threats and overly negative/pessimistic impressions of serious problems, both leading to unreasonable assessments and therefore inadequate response. You'd almost suspect that was intentional.

The benefits of electrical waste!

We burn hydrocarbons to generate electricity, making this a double yikes.

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent,
Is he able but not willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able or willing?
Then why call him god?

And to think there was a time when the average person was fairly knowledgeable. It seems simply locating a country on a map or distinguishing between "their" and "there" has become special knowledge.

"science is not about building a body of known 'facts'. ıt is a method for asking awkward questions and subjecting them to a reality-check, thus avoiding the human tendency to believe whatever makes us feel good." - tp
