Details of Uvelda shooting are getting out. I understand it's premature at this point, but from the beginning it already looked like things went seriously wrong with the response overall and it looks that way the more it gets out. The conflicting reports between parents, witnesses and cops, the claim that cops got their kids evacuated first, the apparently missing part of the police audio, the key...it is a horrifying mess.

What the fuck has happened there? There are evaluations of a few police officers, chiefs...etc and they point out similar things.

According to the time line posted by Forbes and NBC, he's killed his grandmother at home and then first started shooting at people in the parking lot of a funeral home. (according to a witness he crushed his truck outside school too.) They got away uninjured. And assuming those people called the cops first, it looks like he's shot around almost for an hour. He encountered a cop who didn't try to stop him. OK, he was unable by himself, but how long does it take the ones that able to reach the scene? It looks like until the tactical force came in and killed the piece of shit, nothing went down even remotely close to OK.

If it is not the responsibility of the police to protect people -in this case small children in a school- from a mass murderer than the police shouldn't be able to stop some parent to get inside and try to save their kids. (Don't watch the vids with parents, it's pretty distressing.)

If they don't start a serious federal investigation about all this, if those cops really got their kids out first while stopping other parents from doing something, insist on "It's not police's job to protect people" thing, the consequence of all this will be catastrophic in a short time considering the general climate. There would be random shoot outs between police and civilians in these events of the sort. It's running towards some sort of Marshall Law.

People should show up for protest to the coming NRA event, if they still hold it. I've read people started to pull out, but they will do it. Homicidal scums have already started to preach that it's not about gun control, but getting close to god.
