Maybe they should stop making devices for people to wear and make tiny ones to put in people, like in our heads?

E: By the way my space bar really stopped working, lol. Now, I have a new keyboard.

VR will develop as quickly as the porn industry deems necessary.

How about medicine or war industry? But you have a point.

Does anyone remember the movie Strange Days?

Medicine and war will drive technology--but not in ways that the mass commercial interest can use right away.  If it can be used by the mass commercial body, then porn will adapt any technology that that market will use.

It sounded familiar, but I had to look it up. I've seen it, and I recall the basic plot, but not much more.

The device in that movie is not vr, but also it is. I thought it was a good idea si-fi wise, but of course what wold happen the brain? Even in the movie it had consequences if I remember correctly.

Anyone else who hasn't seen Strange Days, I recommend it. It's a good one.

I'm still waiting for teledildonics to hit prime time. I won't be able to afford it, though...:-(

Correct.  The pre-release version was on Epstein's Island of Love.  And as George Carlin says, you aren't invited to that party.

"Wired" is a standard sci-fi concept.  I'm waiting for direct brain transfer to a fully-functioning mechanical body.  I bet I die the year before it becomes available though.  Like being the very last soldier to die in some past war...
