"Faith" being defined as "firm belief in something for which there is no proof" could be made into something that it really isn't and then I'll have to be right. "Objective faith" essentially seeming to mean "firm belief in something for which I claim to have proof but won't show you."

No scientist ever has said, "Evolution is the only answer and we know exactly how it happened." Because we don't. Evolution is the most plausible theory. No "holy man" thought science spoke to him in a burning bush and delivered the theory of evolution: rather, many individuals arrived at a similar conclusion based on independent analysis.
Science is a process, a method by which we obtain and analyze information objectively, not a religion where we set out to prove what we think we know... like Christianity.

I do not believe there are any gods and find the idea ludicrous, however I freely admit that I may be wrong and am open to changing my mind if someone could offer me some better reason to believe than bullshit "What if you're wrong?" arguments and, essentially, "Because X says so" where X is the Bible, your pastor, you...whoever. Yet this douchebag, who would likely freely admit that he believes he is absolutely right and there is nothing you or anyone could to to change his mind, thinks that he is more open minded than me. I actually had an old Catholic acquaintance say the same thing once. How the hell is "I believe absolutely and my mind cannot be changed" more open-minded than "I believe this is not true, but am open to any evidence you have to show"? These twats don't even bother to try to understand the words and phrases they use and have no desire to use them correctly. It's really annoying.
