Now we're making progress. This kid ran to hug his favorite aunt and she broke her wrist making it difficult to hold hors d’oeuvres during a party.
Well it's about time someone hold children accountable for being happy. See? If she had just snuffed the kids life out at birth this tragic event would have never happened.
Fucking people ..
WTF? And it says this happened when he was 8. 4 years ago. I want to slap this woman stupid. Like big slaps. Also I wonder is this about some other issue in the family. It also says the mother died recently is this about some inheritence issue or I dunno...WTF?
QuoteA Manhattan human resources manager is suing her 12-year-old nephew for leaping into her arms when he welcomed her to his eighth birthday party.
The aunt, Jennifer Connell, claims her nephew acted unreasonably when his exuberant greeting caused her to fall and break her wrist in 2011, the Westport News reported from the courthouse on Monday.
She is seeking $127,000 in damages from the boy, whose mother died last year. Westport News also reported that the 12-year-old appeared confused as he sat in the courtroom with his father. Connell reportedly testified that she loves her nephew, whom she described as always being “very loving, sensitive†toward her.
He had been riding his first two-wheeled bicycle â€" which was bright red, according to testimony â€" around his home. When Connell arrived, he dropped it. “I remember him shouting, ‘Auntie Jen, I love you!’ and there he was flying at me,†Connell reportedly testified.
Of the damage done, Connell testified that she did not complain at the time, but she said her life had been “very difficult†since the injury because of “how crowded it is in Manhattanâ€. “I was at a party recently, and it was difficult to hold my hors d’oeuvre plate,†she reportedly said.
No shoe, of course not. It's about holding kids accountable for being happy to see people. /wink wink nudge nudge..
I was more thinking about where she lives...lol Manhattan.
Kid happy to see his aunt, kid hugs to hard and accidentally hurts her, aunt is such a loveless bitch she sues her own nephew. What, did the injury cut off synapses in her brain to?
This woman is a shitty human being. $127000 from a kid... and a relative at that? Jeezus.... :021:
I read the rest of it, the kids mother died last year. So not only is a 12 year old dealing with the death of his mother, but his aunt is suing him..
I can't... I just.... BURN THIS BITCH!!
You're missing the big picture here. This is about this poor poor woman's GOD GIVEN RIGHT® to be able to hold on to hors d’oeuvres during a party without infringement. And OF COURSE the kid planned it that way. He KNEW that she would probably endure pain and suffering long before he attempted to be nice to her and pretend he liked her. It's high time that schools all across America begin teaching kids to not be nice and hug close relatives and instead just look on with disdain and contempt.
wtf
By the way ..jury's in..not a fucking cent.
Aunt receives zero damages from suit over nephew's wrist-breaking hug

Happy to hear that. Piece of shit.
It's like an episode of family guy. "Aww I love you, but breaking aunties wrist was a no no, I know you lost your mommy, but law is law, teehee".
Okay, it's time to ban hugs. You hug-huggers are going to have realize that they're dangerous and have to go. Please, for the love of God, turn in your hugs to the police immediately.
It's good that the jury basically told her, "No. Fuck off, you soulless bitch."
Are you sure this isn't linked from the Onion? Like, really sure? This sentence just doesn't... I don't know. No one could possibly utter this and demand to be taken seriously.

Way to keep a stiff upper lip there, Jennifer.
Hugging is over rated unless breasts are involved. Yeah I know ..it sounds mysoginistic, but for practical purposes breasts make hugging fun.
Well, she's finally telling her side of the story and it makes a bit more sense.
She didn't sue him because she's a bitch who wants to rival the spawn of Hitler and the Grinch, but as a formality as part of a homeowner's insurance claim to get her medical bill paid. I guess in Connecticut you can't name an insurance company in a suit: it has to be an individual. Since her nephew was the only possible person to name, that was how it had to be.
Apparently they still love each other very much and he doesn't understand why the media is skewering his aunt.
Well it just goes to show that insurance companies will always trump family love. Remember that the next time you hug your insurance agent.

Come on, do the jingle.
LIKE A GOOD NEIGHBOR!... Stay over there.
Well they say that the good hands people have been jerking us off for years ..
So she would be fine with taking health insurance from her nephew, so when he needs it, he'll just suffer and die.

It's not taking health insurance away from her nephew at all?
All she did was file a claim against her homeowner's insurance to cover the cost of her medical expenses resulting from the fall, they denied it, she tried to sue them, she was informed under law she couldn't sue the company, so she had to sue an individual in order to get the company to pay. Her nephew was never going to have to pay anything or lose any kind health insurance or homeowner's insurance.
Munch, here in the states insurance is one giant clusterfuck from the beginning. An example is if you drive by a golf course and a ball gets hit and breaks your windshield of your car and you try to claim it on insurance they'll tell you that the golf course was there first and won't cover the cost of repairing the window so you have to lie to say that a rock hit it from something like a truck on a highway carrying rocks or some other such lie.
In this case the insurance company wouldn't pay until the person responsible for causing the broken wrist was sued and it's tossed out of court. The court knows about this absurd formality ,but has to play along.
I do sometimes forget many people here are from other countries that probably handle insurance in a way that doesn't involve a 10,000 member dog and pony show.
You can settle with an insurance company and then sue the insured. It's a fun threat to throw at claim handlers who are a bit balky.
Sometimes it helps to have all the info before we hang a person, but its not necessary….

Nah, Judge Lynch has been a poster since USENET days.
It's the nature of "reporting" anymore. News organizations, especially newspapers have little to no competition when most of news most of us get is from aggregate sourcers. Here in Columbia there's one paper and it's about as useless as a newspaper can be. Major flooding in the city and the front page is all about South Carolina football. Go figure.
I've seen a few stories about this crop up again on social media and many people seem ready to condemn the insurance industries (as they should). Yet it doesn't seem like many people are quick to acknowledge how ready anyone is to eviscerate people over clickbait stories.
So what's truer than the truth? The amount of money to be made from clickbait stories apparently.
LOL. May be she should sue the media now, then. :pp
Click bait is now often disguised as news, but is in reality advertising and major news outlets are putting ads in news stories . It's similar to ad placement in movies, but it's very deceitful.
